Just to be clear, you would rather lose Mizzou, and get a team that will likely only be claimed by the AAC?

If you want to get technical then sure. But tiny slivers of land touching Oklahoma, Kentucky and Tennessee don't amount to much culturally. Arkansas is really the only major border to the south.

The only reason I could see not doing this is feeling like you need Texas recruits to survive and wanting to stay attached to that region. I'd rather have a winnable schedule in their shoes though than trying to beat Texas, LSU, aTm, and OU every year with their scraps.

This is an easy fix....

Missouri to the Big 10.... to make room, the Big 10 sends Maryland back to the ACC where they belong... and to make room, the ACC sends Georgia Tech to the SEC. Order restored.

As a Georgia fan, I'm all for this. Tech is not a threat, and they make far more sense in the SEC than Missouri.

Plus Missouri, Kansas, Kansas St., and Nebraska would be back together again... half the old Big 8 together in a league with bordering Iowa and Illinois. This makes total sense for all.

If Missouri goes B1G..
Oklahoma State is the winner imo

Then I would think Mizzou would join anywhere before they would join the Big 10. That’s assuming they wanna leave in the first place.

Missouri is in a good spot now. Why would they change that? They're making a lot of money and in very stable league with recruiting grounds like Texas, Florida and the entire South they can recruit from just from being in the SEC.

Shhh. Why do you think so many people want us to leave? They know we're coming. I love reading all their melts about how we're not a good fit. They're scared and it's showing.

Missouri is not going to the Big 10. The SEC is way better than the Big 10. Not going to happen, ever.

If Mizzou went to the Big 10, Mizzou football would look like Kansas football within four years. The Big 10 has been terrible for Nebraska football.

Mizzou has one of its largest alumni bases in Dallas and they care about football. We'd be pretty much cut out from Texas if we went to the Big 10.

I'd rather take the beatings in the SEC and still have a couple good years a decade than ending up in permanent suckage in the boring Big 10.

People in Missouri aren’t watching Mizzou sports.

There are more fans of other college teams in that state than Mizzou. They are more worried about the Cardinals, Blues and Chiefs than the Mizzou Tigers.

SEC already had a hold of that TV market before they came here

B1G made a mistake not adding Mizzou last time or trying to give them the lower tier rights BS or whatever.

It's too bad the Big 8 merged with the SWC teams back in the day because that was a great conference. None of this would have happened in the last week if all of that would have been skipped, but Texas politics had to rear its ugly head and frick it up for everyone.

This could not be more incorrect. I mean, I guess I can make up random stuff too though?

People in Arkansas aren't watching Hog sports.

There are more fans of the travelers, UCA, and other college teams in the state than the Hogs. They are more worried about the Cardinals, Cowboys, Grizzlies, than the Hogs.

SEC already had a hold of that TV market before they left the SWC and came here.

Is geography a tough subject for you? Let me ask you a question, how many SEC states does Missouri border?

Okay ... I'll make it easy for you. 4.

How many B1G states does it border? ...again easy answer for you. 3.

I said you would be surrounded on the north, east, and west. I didn't list the total number of states as if tiny slivers of land at your southern corners somehow made you culturally identify with Kentucky, Tennessee or Oklahoma. The only SEC state that shares any cultural connection to Missouri is Arkansas. The vast majority of your residents live near the Kansas or Illinois border.

The entire Big Ten West with Mizzou and Kansas in it would be a reasonable drive from Columbia.

That is definitely how conferences are being formed these days. That’s why Colorado is in the PAC and Maryland in the B1G.

I don't think he understands how all of this works. It's probably for the best if we stop engaging him.
