With Kansas talking to the Big Ten, would Mizzou consider joining them?

Much more natural fit geographically, culturally, and now with their biggest rival potentially joining, would they want to tag along? They may not get quite as much money but would still have a very secure future in the Big Ten, and could play a much more manageable schedule against Big Ten West teams. The SEC has no buyout and no grant of rights. They could leave without owing a cent with practically no rivalries or tradition keeping them here.
They are about to be totally surrounded by the Big Ten on the North, East, and West.

I have to think there are a bunch of Missouri folks who would love to make that move, but I can't see it happening.
You basically join the Big 8 again but inside the Big Ten and all it gives you.
Big Ten West
Kansas
Missouri
Nebraska
Iowa State
Minnesota
Wisconsin
Iowa
Northwestern

Surrounded by as many SEC states as B10 states

Yep, and 90% of them are older than 70. The younger fans have always preferred the SEC

and trade off the Kansas City and St. Louis markets for what?
Look I know it is fun to jab at Mizzou but they bring real dollars to the table.

Is geography a tough subject for you? Let me ask you a question, how many SEC states does Missouri border?
Okay ... I'll make it easy for you. 4.
How many B1G states does it border? ...again easy answer for you. 3.
So how are we not just as good of a fit geographically, culturally, and so on? Do you live in Missouri or do you live on some beach in Florida?

Mizzou wanted to join the Big 10 Back when they left the Big 12 a few years ago and the Bid 10 didn’t want them. I think that’s how that went down if my memory serves me. Don’t know why they would take Mizzou now.

Naw. They offered us junior membership. That was one of the reasons we were leaving the Big 12. And then Nubraska swept in and took junior membership.

I don't think the Big Ten takes a second Iowa team. No reason to with no new market and Iowa objecting. So swap ISU for Illinois in that division. That has Mizzou playing in a very winnable division with every division team being a border state or easy drive for their fans. A winnable division plus big money payouts from the Big Ten seems like a win/win if I am Mizzou and don't want to be a doormat for the SEC.

Sounds perfect for them. Honestly it's a much better fit.

They wanted to give us the Nebraska treatment of junior membership with half a share of league revenues.
The Nubs said "sure" and have gone down the shitter while Mizzou said "frick off" and joined the SEC as full members.
