I'd hate to be a head coach at one of the other 3 schools that had an assistant arrested after this development. Looking at you barners.

After reading some of this stuff, I'm just going to come out and say what everyone already knows: the NCAA could replace every single CBB program in the country with violent sex trafficking rings and still end up with something less unsavory than what they have now.

I believe Arizona fans were this confident 33 mins ago. You have an assistant coach in jail and a head coach that got busted for cheating before. Pearl during an interview last week was asked if he has any knowledge of what Person was doing before he was arrested responded, "it's an ongoing investigation and I can't comment." Yeah, sure he's innocent. Lollololololol

It’s a real mess, but we’ve known it for years and they are just now chipping off chunks of the iceberg. I think we’ll all be shocked at the actual amounts of $ thrown around when it all gets exposed.

The only think important here is that Miss State is still squeaky clean. I approve of this message.

Someone's not commenting publicly during an investigation Guess I'll wait on the article exposing a wiretapped Pearl talking about Purifoy.

My hope is that this uncovers NCAA officials taking bribes.

It’d be a real shame if Malik monk was involved with this Andy Miller fellow.

never seen a fanbase as rustled as Arky because a kid went to a better team out of state.

Throwing a lot of stones for being a fan of a team that had a guy fired because of all of this too.

That only would affect Bruce if in the investigation they had some proof he was aware of the NCAA violations. To date it is important to note zero evidence exists something like that happened. It seems obvious the FBI doesn't have a crime to charge Bruce with based on the investigation.

College Basketball is a lot like College Football in the 1980's...there are a lot of teams spending a lot of money to break even in conference play. So has Bruce committed NCAA violations? More than likely. Is he any different than any other coach in College Basketball or the SEC? No.

The key question isn't what happened...the key question is what/who does the FBI have info on?

They go after stuff like point-shaving too.

Shaving points is a bit different than paying a high school kid to play at one school over another, don't you think?

College athletics, in addition to being 90% beholden to government (just a rough estimate of public vs private schools) is big business and performed across state lines. It's not really a stretch for the feds to get involved once gambling and interstate commerce issues pop up.

But, again, the interstate commerce issues only exist because the NCAA has outlawed a market that otherwise exists between players, schools, and shoe companies. And unlike other outlawed markets (i.e. drug markets) there's no greater-good leg to support the block. Just the over-romanticized notion of amateurism (which has never actually been a thing given that players have been offered and seeking pay-for-play since the 1800s, all the way back to when the Ivy League schools were hiring ringers to play).

Fraud, bribery, tax evasion, money laundering. Also, other non-federal crimes committed over state lines would also fall into their jurisdiction. When you add up all the money paid to players and families, the amount of taxes not paid could be quite high. Its simplistic to just take one example and say why bother.

Yea! This is part of the NWO where they know everything about everybody! Watch what you say and do because this out of control government, the swamp, is listening.
