Well yeah, it’s not like they had time to fool with some tipline that could have saved the lives of 17 kids and teachers in Parkland, FL.

Who is the lucky piece of shite team(s) that gets to play Arizona minus Ayton in the 1st or 2nd round. Ban them from the tournament.

It'll be Bama and we'll lose.

As entertaining as it is, I occasionally have to remind myself that the federal government is devoting actual resources to prosecute people for engaging in a market transaction that is only considered black-market because... the NCAA set up artificial blocks on the market in the name of amateurism.

If Sean Miller is found to have violated NCAA rules, not only would he lose his job, but, per his contract, he’d have to pay Arizona up to $300,000 in damages related to the case

I'd guess the real reason they're after college basketball is tax evasion. People getting $100K and not paying taxes on it is going to piss the feds off

Meh I don’t think taxes on 100k are even on their radar.

So he has to pay the University for violating rules they had a hand in creating (via the NCAA) because he paid a player to come in and make gobs of money for the University...

The Hawks don't have to worry about Ayton injuring himself

Lol that crossed my mind too

But...that popcorn gif lmao

It’d be a real shame if Malik monk was involved with this Andy Miller fellow.

They go after stuff like point-shaving too. College athletics, in addition to being 90% beholden to government (just a rough estimate of public vs private schools) is big business and performed across state lines. It's not really a stretch for the feds to get involved once gambling and interstate commerce issues pop up.
