Dude you just live in a fantasy world where you hate all things Texas and disregard all success unless it's attached to a natty. The OP was about WINS since 2000, which Texas is 4th in the ncaa and 2nd in the sec. But sure act like “the big 3” in college baseball in the sec doesn't include Texas lol

He had some bad seasons in Knoxville. His inability to string together decent seasons showed everyone how difficult the SEC really was. Most college baseball fans in the Southeast already knew. He recruited pretty well at times but just could not get it going whenever conference play started.

You following me around, begging to be noticed and told how good you were over 20 years ago, is almost as embarrassing as pretending to be a cowboy in the city of Austin

Do you have alerts on for when I post?

Again, go back to Orangebloods and brag about how shitty Texas has done in Omaha over there

Very few recruits care about wins and titles and all that. They all care about money and playing for a charismatic coach. If recruits cared about wins and natties, then players would be going to South Carolina instead of Tennessee. I think recruits only care about the present situation not the history, but just my opinion

I think recruits definitely care about historical success, it isn't as important as the other things you mentioned though.

I think program prestige tends to be a tiebreaker if the other factors are somewhat close.

Generally, people want to be a part of something bigger than themselves and don't necessarily want to be trailblazers.

Absolutely, just a Tenner baseball fan talking out of his arse.

Tenner’s program was built by NIL and Tony V.

One of those is gone and the other is already dwindling.

Agreed that this is the place to cut off at. I've said that for years because that was about when the recruits were born. But, now that it is 2026, when do we move that cut off year up?

I'd probably cut it off at 1999 when the NCAAT expanded to 64 teams, we started seeding the tournament, and super regional rounds began

bruh, at the time of his commitment, Mainieri was on his last legs as a head coach and was being pushed out the door

He signed with LSU because it was and still is the biggest brand in the sport

NIL started in 2021; Crews was a freshman in 2021.

yes, baseball is a spring sport. He was a senior in high school in 2020 and enrolled as an LSU student in the fall of 2020. NIL wasn't a thing yet

The fact that Arkansas, North Carolina, Louisville, Clemson and ECU have never won a National Title in baseball just goes to show how truly difficult it is.

To be fair, as he matured as a coach, both he and his teams toned it down. Those first couple of years though...

Yep. That is much better. The year 2000 is just an easy earmark for anything really.

Baseball is tough to win but not sure that’s a great measuring stick. The counter would be coastal Carolina, Fresno st Oregon St cal st full have won one in this same time frame. Schools that size could never win it all in football.

We were but we have fallen off hard. Without the last 10 years we would way up there.

Exactly my point arse wipe. If recruits wanted prestige of program they would be going to South Carolina over Tennessee all day. Instead, players want to be compensated and have a player's coach. That's what Tennessee did with Vitello. That's why he was able to build the program from nothing into the winningest program this decade. Now having an MLB hall of famer, CY Young Winner, new stadium, and a natty should position us even better by yalls metrics

Yeah, our brand new 100 million dollar stadium shows our resources are spent. You are a clown lol

If the Tenner boys didn't give a rats' assss about winning or the 1 Natty they got, tell them to forfeit all of the wins and give the trophy back. I guess it meant more to act like their jackass coach than a real man.

Why do you think you belong in the big 3 of the SEC when a microscopic percentage of those wins came from playing in the SEC?

Texas has to prove itself in sports to the SEC, not the other way around.

Why do no think Texas deserves to be in the top 3 in the sec in college baseball?

Historically we are a top 3 team in the entire ncaa let alone the sec. Holistically Texas resume stands for itself.

If you want to discredit historical and just talk Most recently as of Last year we won the sec title in basbeall. So yes a big 3 in baseball not including Texas is pretty silly.
