Barron is a great leader and Player but he is not irreplaceable esp if Lester stays.

Safety is the last position I'll ever worry about under Coach Saban.

2013 might be hell for us. Hopefully we can transition well though.

Exactly the last two that were new starters turned out to be pretty good.

Not really sure. We lose 7 starters, but expectations will be much lower next season.

On offense, we return almost the entire team but have a new starting QB who is either a RS Freshman (Manziel) or a RS Sophomore (Showers or Joeckel). We lose Cyrus Gray, but return Christine Michael. The addition of both Marion Grice (JUCO 4 star) and Trey Williams (only Jonathan Gray is rated higher) at running back can't possibly hurt. Jeff Fuller hasn't been himself this year for some reason.

On defense, the losses of Tony Jerod-Eddie, Terrence Frederick, and Coryell Judie will hurt. Trent Hunter, Eddie Brown, and Garrick Williams are 3-year starters who have managed to lose their starting jobs to 2 true freshman and a sophomore. Jonathan Mathis will return if his medical redshirt is approved (broke his leg against Oklahoma State) The losses of Von Miller and (especially) Michael Hodges are very apparent with our problems with getting the plays in. Williams has been a 3-year starter, yet doesn't know the defense well enough to call the plays on the field. Eddie Brown can't make it through more than about 5 plays before he's winded, and Trent Hunter forgot how to cover deep. I'm not that confident in the coverage ability of Dustin Harris and Floyd Raven is still raw. Fortunately, we have 2 4-star corners coming in (Darion Monroe, Colin Blake) who I am certain will play as true freshmen.

Randy Bullock will be missed as he is the best kicker A&M has had since Kyle Bryant (1995). Taylor Bertolet will be a redshirt freshman next year.

Well, UGA loses 2 defensive starters, 4 offensive starters, and 1 backup tight end...Orson Charles could declare for the draft, too.

We lose a stud CB in Boykin, and a pretty good DE in DeAngelo Tyson on D but I think Derrick Lott can fill in nicely on the line and Damien Swann has the potential to be an All-SEC corner. We will continue to be stacked at linebacker next year.

On offense, we're losing 3 linemen in Ben Jones (C), Cordy Glenn (LT), and Bean Anderson (RT). Ben Jones is almost irreplaceable due to the fact that he's a 4 year starter. Kolton Houston getting his NCAA issue settled before the end of the season would be nice so he can get reps, as he will likely be starting at one of the tackle spots next year and I wouldn't be surprised to see John Theus start as a true freshman at RT. Bean Anderson is addition by subtraction, imo. We lose our starting fullback, Bruce Figgins, who is a monster at 6'4" 280, but Zander Ogletree is a very capable FB and I don't think there will be a drop off.

All in all, I think UGA should win the East next year, they return way too many weapons not to. And no, I'm not some UGA homer who predicts a 14-0 season every year.

Nobody.... and I mean this... NOBODY... loves Alabama football more than I do.

I'm 49 and I have a picture of me at 3 years old wearing an Alabama Letterman's sweater. I could say "roll tide" before I could say "momma" or "daddy".

We're going to have a down year next year. (meaning we won't be able to compete for the BCSNC) We won't lose to Vandy..... but we probably will lose to LSU and Auburn.... and our fanbase needs to be ready for that. Just trying to keep people from committing suicide.

We will win a game or 2 more because of the schedule. I don't think we will really be that much better though. However, the year after, I expect to be contending.

Next year Petrino might have his most complete team yet, but without known offensive playmakers it's hard to project us being better. It really just comes down to how good the wr's and rb's we've been recruiting are.

Overrall I'd say worse. But not horribly. If Alshon and Gilmore stay that would be huge but thats in unlikely. We'll be pretty young but we'll still have a decent D and still have Lattimore. Hopefully Shaw will also be more developed and just simply better by then.

We also have to go @LSU @UF and @CU so the schedule won't be easy.

With LSU's defense NEXT YEAR ...

You could play the game anywhere the banjoes sound and anywhere the family tree = a trunk, and it wouldn't help you

As you can see, all 5 starters return, but Thomas and Bullard are not too good. Tiny and Marcus Jackson need to learn how to pass block so they can get on the field next year. That would improve our offensive line exponentially. Marlin Lane can be a pretty damn good back with some blocking.

Would not be surprised at all if Tiny and Jackson are starting by the end of the year.

Just looking around the league it looks like most of the teams are extremely young. Anybody planning on losing a ton to the NFL and taking a step back?

We lose a little bit on defense. I think overall we will be better. Another 10 win season IMO. We get Alabama and LSU at home next year.

What the lineup will look like next season

OFFENSE

RB-Knile Davis
RB-Ronnie Wingo
FB-Keiro Small
QB-Tyler Wilson
WR-Cobi Hamilton
WR-Marquel Wade
OR
WR-Julian Horton
TE-Chris Gragg
OT-Jason Peacock
OG-Alvin Bailey
OC-Travis Swanson
OG-Brey Cook
OT-Mitch Smothers

DEFENSE

DE-Tank Wright
DT-Byran Jones
DT-Robert Thomas
DE-Trey Flowers
LB-Alonzo Highsmith
LB-Ross Rasner
LB-Terrell Williams
CB-Tevin Mitchel
CB-Darius Winston
S- Eric Bennett
S- Darrell Smith

Returning starters are in bold. At this point in the season we have started so many people on defense because of injuries. I listed returning starters for guys who have at least started half of our games this season.

We will lose Jake Bequette, Tramain Thomas, Jerry Franklin, and Jerico Nelson on defense next season. We return everyone in our 2 deep rotation of DT's and return all but 1 of our 2 deep at DE.

UF will be good enough to win the East next year, which doesn't say much. UF is good enough to win the East this year, IF we can beat Auburn tomorrow, and get Brantley back for UGA.

2013 is the year that UF should REALISTICALLY be contending for a MNC.

We return most of our Oline and Knile Davis. Another loss in Little Rock for the little Tigers.
