We sucked against Florida. They also game planned really well against us and worked us over. I'll give you that. We beat Ole Miss. Let me repeat that for you, since you don't seem to understand how losses work - we beat Ole Miss. We had a higher score at the end of the game than they did. We put more points on the board. That's how you win a football game.
You won by seven and gave up 35 points at home to a team not fit to threaten your roster's two-deep. Thus "moderate to low". Had you lost I'd just have said
A&M beat Ole Miss, but we certainly didnt have much success outside of a select few minutes of game action.

A&M will lose in Baton Rouge. They have absolutely no chance.
Nick Saban is on line one with a warning for you.

Fair enough. But you're CFB royalty now. Sept-January in this division is a dog fight. To chalk up W's and L's in the preseason is asinine.

I do find it comical that people think we lost 13 starters. Also how people forget how many top 5 recruiting classes LSU has.
I really don't even care anymore how much respect LSU has in the national media. In the 2011 preseason we had as many first-team all SEC players as Bama had all-Americans.
Even though Bama was supposed to be some kind of world beater, we went 13-0 and won the SEC. Preseason means jack shite. Ask Arkansas.

This is important to note. CBS will use their one 7 PM slot for A&M/Bama and LSU/A&M will be the CBS game of the week when we play. We won't be playing at night which is HUGE for us.

At least admit you were lucky to get Bama after they had just been in a war with LSU. Bama probably wins that game had it been a week later.

And yet here we have a thread full of LSU fans guranteeing on the lives of their loved ones we won't win in BR.

your reply argued turnovers are lucky accidents and ignored the yardage in the 4th came when the game was out of reach.
so yeah, i read that and obviously disagreed
Hill's TD to "put the game out of reach" occurred with 3:20 left in the game. The following possession, we drove 80 yards to put the game back to within 5. So, no, I didn't ignore the yardage that came after because the game wasn't out of reach at that point, and it was one drive worth of yards.
Also, I argued that 4/5 turnover's were UNFORCED MISTAKES, because they were, not "unlucky accidents." Malena's fumble was somewhat unlucky, as it was his only fumble all year, but it WAS forced, and I gave LSU credit for that.

Won't matter at the end of the day. Y'all aren't going to win

The lack of respect for South Carolina in this thread is disturbing.
You guys do realize they've been one of the best teams in the nation for the past 3 years and they have the best player in a generation returning.
The schedule favors SC this season. If they get to Atlanta, you all should know to never pick against the Ol' Ball Coach.

Most are just responding to everyone in this thread chalking us up to 4th in the west.
But I haven't guaranteed shite. I do think LSU will be in a good position playing at home and aTm will have a much larger target on their back.
As Herby said, (paraphrasing) people are overlooking LSU and it pisses them off. A pissed off LSU team is scary.

That was our 9th week to play in a row with no bye, our 5th road game in 6 with LSU as the only home game, and our 3rd road game in a row. We had WAY more reason to come into the Bama game tired than Bama did after just playing LSU, as hard fought as that game was. Worst case, both teams were equally beat up and tired when we played, and we played AT BAMA. The "you got lucky to play Bama after they played LSU" excuse is absolutely ridiculous.

I have no idea if they would have or not, but why does it matter?
And let's not forget that LSU bounced back well enough to pound a top 25 team the week after Bama. The bigger issue was that Bama probably took us lightly, not that they were gassed. Even so, we still had to make plays at the end to win.
My issue is people are acting like A&M winning in BR would be the upset of all upsets, when in reality we had a much bigger one last year and it may not even be a statistical upset by the time it rolls around depending on how each team fairs leading up to that game.

I agree, the problem is that I imagine a pissed off Mettenberger is amusing and bordering on hilarious.
If he throws for 90 yards against us again you probably wont win.

That tells us nothing. I wonder how many of said publications predicted that the Aggies would beat Bama, win a heisman and finish in the top 5?
Or put USCw preseason #1 last year
Preseason ranking mean jack shite.

But understanable.
USC is good for at least one absolute collapse a year. No matter how good they are, they'll find a way to lose to someone by 20+.

It doesn't. Just like pre season rankings in the SEC.

meh. I don't think they took you lightly. I mean JFF was on a Heisman run and Saban literally doesn't take ANYONE lightly.

It would not be an upset. But even Bama fans agree they were lucky to get out of BR with a W last year. It's one of, if not the, hardest place to play in the country.
Being a day game certainly helps. But I promise, it'll be the loudest game you've ever experienced.

people have been saying that about Miles coached teams for 8 years now. every year in the offseason the good teams we beat complain they lost the turnover battle because of bad luck
there's no such thing as luck that lasts for 8 years

He clearly improved in the latter part of the season. And we have a new OC. And we're running a completely different style of O.
No huddle, 85-90 snaps, etc..
It's going to be interesting. But LSU has the athletes for it.
eta let's not forget he played out of his mind in the biggest game of his life. We lost on a screen pass. A fricking screen.
a goddamn screen.
