Will Texas or Texas A&M ever schedule an OOC series with Texas Tech?

I miss seeing both of those matchups.
I guess there isn't anything to gain from scheduling it though?

Texas just stopped playing them, i wouldn't be surprised to see some 2030's games pop up as the alumni start missing some of the ribbing we give our colleagues
I think its ridiculous Aggy hasn't played any of them since moving to the SEC , went out of its way to dodge bowl games with these teams
Aggy has serious hatred for Tech and Baylor I don't know why they'd avoid those games so long.
FFS Aggy hijacked a train with a cannon in tow to try and assault Baylor. CFB needs more of this

Random Fun Fact
Baylor's original campus was in Independence (Washington County)... About 20 miles as the crow flies to Kyle Field.

Baylor was our 2nd in state rival in the Big 12. They are horns 2nd in state rival.
And it doesn’t help anyone to get stuck playing the same team for your one out of conference every single year except maybe Tech. I get they are popular with a billionaire spender in a conference they can talent whip everyone, but that’s not that exciting to everyone to watch overmatched games.
I like playing Clemson and Notre Dame, Miami these past few years. Schools we never really play that people tune into in the first few weeks of the season.
I wouldn’t be opposed to playing them once, but most likely, they will make the post season if no other Big 12 teams spends to play in the playoffs, so you can always play them in the post.

Whoa - Texas and B12 blackballed games with A&M when they left for the SEC.
Have we forgotten Baylor and Ken Starr suing A&M for leaving?

Horns and Tech absolutely hate each other. Don’t get it. They trolled them non stop for the Coleman commitment and I don’t know if Tech was in on him.

can you really forget something that never happened

Baylor/Starr never sued A&M. What actually happened was Baylor initially refused to waive their right to sue. And then after assurances from Texas that we were staying in the Big 12, they did. I know nuance isn't your strong suit because you are fricking retarded, but I hope this helps.

Looks like you’re drunk already, still mad you got called a retard I see lmao, held the board dubbed you that

If you are only going to play one P4 game per year, there is not much reason to play any of the instate schools over any other P4 team. If you haven’t had the pleasure of making a road trip to Lubbock, then you might not understand why it’s not exactly at the top of the list for our fans.

put the bottle down brother. your old man would be ashamed :(

I'm just being a selfish observer wishing to see certain matchups again. I always liked the A&M/Tech matchup because the hate was/is real.

But there isn’t hate on our side, the hate is very real with Baylor. You are thinking of horn, that’s their 2nd rival in state. Ours is Baylor.
A lot of people focus on the Leech years when they had our number, but everyone beat us bc we had Fran. Fran had rosters with 12 blue chippers in some years. He set the program back. That’s they everyone hates Fran.

What kind of revisionist history is this crap?

Unless something changes in the playoff selection, neither side has anything to gain playing each other OOC.

There is no real benefit for playing them. Texas recruiting is the I-35 corridor (Denton-Dallas- Austin-San Antonio) and points east. No where near the number of D1 players west of that.
TTech stadium is small v. DKR & Kyle, ~ 60,000.
Since 1995, Texas is 22-7 v. TTech, 75.9%, 12-3 in Austin, 10-4 in Lubbock
Since 1995, A&M is 6-11 v TTech, 35.3%. 4-4 in College Station, 2-7 in Lubbock
One is not like the other.

Hopefully not. They make LSU fans seem like Philadelphia lawyers.
