Presuming there is, I'd see him 4th to 5th round.

If the NFL values his mobility and time in an NFL offense, I can see late 4th.
Edit to add: he still hasn't hit his ceiling. He has improved consistently the past 24 months. Everything he struggled with got significantly better after 1 offseason as a starter in workouts

Isn't the NFL ball different?
Stupid things like that and playing in elements will hurt his stock. And if enough teams worry, he could be late 6th or 7th.

I said after the UAB game 2021 that we could win a natty with him. But he gets nic'd. And he struggles to get loose and with accuracy when he is nic'd (compounded by cold environments).
He can take hits. But when he gets something tight in his shoulder, elbow, or hand, he isn't the same QB (2020 UF. 2020 Bama. He had a 2 game stretch in 2022).

2 years ago the Rant assured us we would never win a Championship with Bennett as our QB.

I remember a ton of Georgia fans saying this as well.

Many were convinced that JT Daniels was much better.

Most Dawgs still considered the Rose Bowl 2018 as the best Dawg game they ever attended. He was a freshman and made two huge plays on the final drive in regulation to send it to overtime. That was remarkable and not a timid guy.

That was great. An inability to do it again made the rest of his career a disappointing one.

His Oline did him no favors vs. Bama late. We were consistently getting beat right up the gut in both games, which is the worst thing for a pocket passer.

Maybe so. That’s where you need elusiveness, which he lacked. Speed and quickness.

LSU? We were completely outmanned and had terrible offensive play calling all year long. There were far more dropped passes in that game than overthrows.

That open td to pass to start the game was bad. It set the tone. We needed that play. He had poor accuracy on those kind of plays in 2019.

That doesn't mean others were shite though.

I didn’t say Fromm was shite. I will say Bennett is much better.

Fromm's play in the SECCG is the only reason we had a chance to win through three quarters.

His lame slide kept bama in that game.

4th q’s are super important. They define legacies.

No franchise is drafting a 5'7 physical and mental midget who folds under pressure. NFL has a level playing field, he won't have all day to throw like he did in college.

He’s 5’11, taller than Russell Wilson or Kyler Murray, and the same height as Drew Brees.

He threw for 300+ yards and totaled 6 TDs in the Natty, and performed almost as well against OSU.

What the frick are you taking about, surly toad.

Falcons would be a fool to miss the opportunity at the relative bargain it would be but the Falcons ain't noted for good decisions. Bennett will make a roster somewhere and stick around in the league 3-4 years just through shear will and work ethic if nothing else. He is perfectly capable of coming in as the third QB and not doing anything to lose the game and has the potential to actually win a few in that scenario. I was about as anti-Bennett as UGA fans were midway through the 21 season but he changed my mind...he can make a roster if he wants to, its up to him. Usually that isn't the case, it would be up to a staff....but the staff is not going to want him, he is going to force them to accept him through shear will and work ethic just like he did UGA, if that is something he is interested in doing. That work ethic and determination is as good as almost any amount of talent in almost any endeavor in life....

Yes.

He doesn't have a the typical prototype build, and that will undoubtedly hurt is selection -- despite his intangibles.

He'll go. Sure. Someone will take a chance on him.

I think the Falcons stay far away from him

Bennett will get drafted and might get a look. He may even stick as a backup/3rd string a couples years somewhere, but he isn't a pro prospect.

Going to the Falcons would simply make problems for a rebuilding team... he'd be a fan favorite, but nobody in their right mind wants to build around him. Better to let him get his paycheck somewhere where he isn't a distraction.

Seems a lot of projections have him going 6th, 7th round or maybe not at all.

Saw one scout compared him to Jake Fromm without the height.

Does the board think he's played his way into being a late round selection?

I thought he was working at a fast-food restaurant. Might it be that he should be happy to have a regular job.

5’9 on a good day and lacks the mitigating Arm or Athletic Ability that made them viable prospects.

205 total yards and 65 of that came on 1 run. If you just use SEC play (including the extra SEC title game he has 4 rushing TDs.

See what happens when you actually dig into a stat instead of just cherry picking them. Dude is not a running threat. He is not a dual threat or a single threat. Nothing about him mitigates his lack of height, arm, or athletic ability.

It's a funny thing about TDs.

They limit yards and yards per touch (when you go into the endzone untouched).

Stetson is fast enough to have repeated that 65 yards several times over with his ability to run in space.

Someone seems to undervalue his athleticism, though.
Who could that be, smokey?

He is just as tall as I am
