Welp, guess he's getting fired then

I doubt it. I think if 1 win or less happens, then he goes from guaranteed to get another year to maybe like only 60-70% likely to get another year. He still likely remains with 1 or 0 wins but I could see DRF taking serious looks at potential moves and jumping if something good pops up.

DRF didn't hire Drink so we really dont know how much she wants to tie herself to him. She may be looking for excuses to cut ties already for all we know.

She probably can find a much better HC if she sees one willing to take the job. But I believe will have to wait another year if things go south again next year.

getting the privilege of ending Harsin's career after the DSOR would be sweet.

We have come this far. I want to see if he has anything with a developed Horn. I'm not saying he will, but I think it is worth taking a peek.

If we can him this year, we just have to start all over again. Most of his good recruits will bolt (if they haven't already).

Doesn’t matter what conference they are in. This will always be the case. Like Arky. They are fodder for the big boys. Judge Smails said the world needs ditch diggers too

I think Aubie sends Harsin to Athens for that arse beating and not in interim coach. Aubie wants to prove a point to Harsin and set up leverage for buyout negotiations.
More than likely he will be fired after next Saturday.

Honestly as an Auburn fan I think Harsin should have to coach that game to endure his final arse kicking, its what he deserves.

Original plan was after the Ole Miss game during our open date. (3-4) Would have happened Sunday had we not been gifted a game by Mizzou. The way we have played makes it more likely it could happen after UGA when we drop to 3-3.

What's there to negotiate? Harsin has a guaranteed contract without mitigation. IF Auburn chooses to can him then they will pay him.

Probably not. The Georgia massacre will likely be the nail in Harsin’s coffin

If LSU and Georgia throttle Auburn, Harsin is toast.

And, last February’s debacle is still within the timeframe for a lawsuit. I’m sure Harsin knows by now just WHO was behind it and who wasn’t. I can see some very well healed boosters the major subject of a huge lawsuit in addition to the University, AD and a few others. I’m sure a few lawyers are waiting in the wings chomping at the bits…

Could that be the reason one of the main characters and possible co-plaintiffs in such a suit is now far removed from Auburn? I don’t think February is in the rear view mirrors yet. Look at the resignation of Bowden for a parallel case and tactic Auburn has repeatedly used. Harsin may be able to teach Auburn a lesson or two before all is done.

Mizzou fans have said that they wouldn't make a move until after the season, if then, no matter how things go. After that fiasco Saturday I'm not so sure.

You can not be sure all you want. We have some really dumb fans, but thankfully they don’t run the AD.

We are not firing the best recruiter in school history in year 3. There is a 0% chance it happens. Nada.

We are building up after 4 years of terrible recruiting under Odom. Most of our most talented players are under classmen and we have a potential elite QB who will be playing sooner rather than later.

That is why Mizzou will always underperform in the SEC. Too much patience with mediocrity

This is the dumbest thing.

Drink has a better record than Pinkel at the same point in the start of their tenure. Drink also coaches in the SEC vs the Big 12 and had a full SEC schedule year 1.

Guess we should have fired Pinkel too huh?

Patience is precisely what non elite programs SHOULD have. A never ending coaching carousel is the exact thing they should avoid.

Harsin is a bad fit for Auburn and pretty unlikeable. I hope he doesn't get fired.

Both are highly like to get beat, possibly badly.

Who steps in as interim if this happens?

I expected at least one of them to be fired this week.
