People don't seem to understand our frustration. We have went through the 08,09,10,11*,12,14,15 with absolutely stagnant offenses. We have deeply regressed in the previous years. This was our first season opening loss since 2002... This was our first loss to an OOC opponent in 42 games. We used to be feared. We were promised a huge offensive overhaul. Nothing but positive things from the coaches all off season. Our first six plays of the game? Run Run Run Punt. Next, Incomplete Pass, Incompelete Pass, Incomplete Pass, punt... i was actually a proponent of keeping Les. We saw glimmers of hope in our bowl win over Texas Tech. All of this culminated in an absolutely dreadful showing on the biggest stage. We were dominated in the trenches with a supposedly "superior" o-line. It was brutal.

We are melting because we know, even with the talent we have, we will realistically lose to Bama and several others. It's disheartening. We need a change. I don't see the benefit of firing Miles now, but it is time. Miles did well here, was a tremendous ambassador, and will go down as one of our greatest coaches. The game has passed him.

It's because of Alabama's success under Saban.

Period.

It's really tough accepting you just aren't as good as you think it are. Trust me, as a dawg, I know first hand.

longer than that. that's just Les' streak at LSU. The streak was like 55 games

I will enjoy the season much better knowing we will only go 8-4 or so. I usually am pretty bummed when win lose, I'm just over the high expectations. It's my fault.

How could you possibly have supported Les Miles if you objectively looked at the numbers since 2012?

He should have been fired no later than 2014. The team is losing one additional game each season. The offensive numbers are horrible and getting worse. The defense is declining. The Chief quit because he was tired if carting his arse. We've lost to Bama five consecutive times. Pevito is a fricking idiot and now special teams suck.

What was your justification for keeping him?

One game is still haunting yall 5 years running.

Quit melting and whining. One game five years ago shouldn't set the tone for this year. Not even yesterday's loss, either.
Look no further than Bama last year, or even tOSU in 14. Both lost games in September (and at home) that they probably shouldn't have, yet the fans and team were able to put it behind them and press on.
And trust me, I'm sure the fans discord will bleed over to the team itself.

Don't read into it. I don't say "we" as in the team, I said "we" as fans...

I feel for you, I really do.

But with that said, seeing someone else say this about their coach and no longer having to feel the same way (a la Richt) is bringing me untold amounts of joy.

So, uh, thanks.

I have to hand it to Georgia. You guys did it right by firing him swiftly and with all the bullshir that we did.

You landed a great coach.
