I remember when we played OU in the natty in 2022. There were 25,000 fans at the game. And 24,000 were Ole Miss fans. They got absolutely mogged.

Except there would be way more LSU fans there supporting the team vs any other college at the CWS. The viewing numbers get historical bumps when LSU is in Geauxmaha. Its clear that we support our teams way more than the rest of you guys.

I can’t speak for the game today as it’s been a pretty busy day for me. But they had an LSU fan right behind home plate who’s there every year during the first few games. So you didn’t have to look very hard to see an LSU fan. He was in the camera every pitch.

I think baseball... more than any other college sport is one that fans will follow their own team... but tend to lose interest when their team isn't involved.... at least outside the SEC...

That was quite a showing for Ole Miss...
For OU's lack of fan support... it was probably a combination of things...Most obvious was the fact that OU softball was fresh off of a national championship run and all the energy was spent on that.
I do think that demonstration by Ole Miss fans showed OU fans that the SEC baseball... culturally... was a different animal than what we were used to in the Big XII.
