Just get over it dude. There are teams that may threaten your teams dominance. That's why you pay your coach $7mill per year. To keep you from blowing up your trailer park.

Underrated post.

I agree.

And it isn't gonna happen.

And AtM is about to become an elite program and Texas is going to be an irrelevant afterthought.

And that is on Texas. They fricked themselves.

It is becoming alarmingly clear to many old SEC fans, me being one, that Texas A&M cannot continue to have the entire southwest for their bidding. There are nearly 25 million people in those two states and recruits want to play SEC ball.

Ask Texas, OU how many 4 and 5 star talent got away? Mucho. A&M, left alone in the southwest as the only SEC school will become a behemoth. This cannot be permitted to happen.

The talent with Texas and OU in the SEC would decrease A&M's current advantage. I'm sure Bama, LSU, etc know long term that this monster that Mike Slive created, will dominate the SEC for a very long time.

It's time for Disney to make this happen. Let's pull the plug on the LHN. Let the rest of the Big 12 go off and find new homes. Only ESPN/ Disney have the money and clout too persuade all the SEC Presidents to vote in favor of accepting OU and Texas. If we were serious, the money would be so great, and most important, OU and Texas could tout that they could play in the greatest conference.

You're right. Your end is near.

You're going to see Aggie where your sun sets and Missouri where it rises - dominating your world.

It's inevitable and twill be glorious.

Accept your fate and surrender to your overlords now and perhaps you will be shown mercy.

Why would Texas be different than Florida? If we sucked, kids would play for other teams.

I guess they don't teach geography in Alabama. Texas is no the SW. Texas is Texas.

We're a big state, some of Texas is in the SW.

Some of us is plains country.

Some of us is the South (East Texas to SE and coastal Texas is as Southern as any SEC state).

Which Sumlin would trade for Jamal Adams in a heartbeat

There is not a coach on the planet that would make that trade.........and perhaps you weren't paying too much attention. Our true fish free safety played lights out Thursday night. Two big time hits/pass break ups with an INT.

My goodness. It was only one FB game.

Nobody in their right mind would want Texas in the SEC. They are a terrible cultural fit and a real pain in the arse to deal with.

OU is tied to OkSt.

I don't want OkSt in the SEC. I'd actually be ok with OU, but that's just me ( and it ain't happening while T Boone is still alive

Florida certainly has great recruiting....while they lead the NFL per capita part, Texas simply has more to choose from...at the end of the day, both are great and will continue to be.

Let's do it, time to dominate Texas.

We have what, 25% of Texas now? Get Oklahoma for another 25% and UTA for the remaining half, and we're good to go.

IMO, I would take ok st before I took ou. LSU may not let that happen but ok st has solid fans. Anyone using the piss poor excuse about academics, don't forget the miss. schools and Arkansas are in the SEC.

First off, frick you...Arkansas has better academics than multiple SEC schools. Admittedly arse To Mouth has better, but we don't suck nearly as bad as we once did.

Also, frick Texas! Texas is UGA if UGA was convinced they had more history than Notre Dame, Michigan, Ohio State, USC, and Alabama put together. Their fans are ridiculous, they have a fifth as many championships as Bama but are twice as cocky. Austin is an awesome road trip, but the school and it's fans are the st damned thing we ever want in the SEC. OU would be MUCH better, but wouldn't directly accomplish what the OP sought.
