Florida and OU are the hot picks for playoff spots by the media. They are in love with both because they are brand names and never have this many bad seasons in a row.

Inherited a mess. Took Louisiana from three straight losing seasons to three straight double digit win seasons almost instantly. Has turned the roster over nicely and despite a few admittedly boneheaded instances and not so great losses, has shown improvement and a decent upward trajectory. Napier is a good coach. Florida will make some noise this year. This is not at all like my prediction last year that Milroe would win the Heisman.

Their QB is a stud. And QB play tremendously determines the outcomes in college football. Obviously important at any level but particularly so in college.

On paper it’s a great roster and if Laggway is healthy they have zero reason to not be competitive for a playoff spot. The issue can Laggway stay healthy and can Napier get out of his own way.
