Why is no one scared of Arkansas?

Honestly the only reason is because they aren't that far removed from the Chad Morris era and so everyone just automatically discounts them. They could be really good this year.

I picked them to finish second in the west. I think they are better than aTm or Ole Miss. But am I to pick them to beat Bama? It's been 15 years

Nobody should be “scared” but they should absolutely be respected if they are on your schedule.

They are at the level where they have to prove it over a couple of years to be pushed to the top. Not a knock on Arky just the reality if you aren't Bama, LSU, FL, and GA. Have to prove it which Arky likes anyway. Great thing is they have ample opportunity to prove themselves throughout the season.

A Cam offense doesn't really work the same in this era. They will win games, but they cant beat all the big dogs and have a tough schedule. 8-4 would be a good season for their situation, which means 6-6 and 7-5 are in the realm of possibility.

Nobody should be scared of us... but they should respect that we know where we were and have taken steps to close the gap. More importantly for Hog fans, we're no longer scared to line up against anyone in the league.

There’s a reality in which Arkansas goes 10-2 this year and plays in a NY6 bowl. There’s also a reality where they go 7-5 and play in the Texas Bowl.

In any case, Arkansas will not be an easy out for anyone this year, which frankly is shockingly good considering Pittman is only beginning year 3 after inheriting the worst mess in the SEC this side of Vandy. Pittman has done an amazing job.
