LSU fans need to stop bringing Ruggs up every time a thread like this is started. It’s super insecure. Ruggs was a poor kid who had nothing growing up. I worked with one of his friends father who basically helped raise him.

Depends on the situation, but there are some bad baserunners. If it’s a light dribbler they can probably make it, or they’ve been given a signal to run on contact unless it’s a pop fly.
Adam Duvall cannot run bases, so if it was him i’m not surprised.
It could also be that they are hoping they beat the throw to third and then both runners are safe. I’ve seen this happen a bunch as well.
