Again LSU's defense isn't elite.
11th in the country in adjusted defense and 8th in scoring D is absolutely elite, dont kid yourself. Nobody is saying Bama's and MSU's isnt also elite, they're all elite defenses. You have to be some sort of dumb to suggest the #8 scoring D in the country isn't "elite" because there are 2 ever so slightly better defenses "in their own division". There's 130 teams in D1 CFB, that's in the 94th percentile.
LSU has one of the longest streaks in the country for allowing less than 30 points in a game going. 21 straight.
