Alabama will be favored. It's also why they are in over OSU.

Because it's not right for Bammer to get special treatment because your head coach is best buds with the NCAA president.

Is it really so surprising that other fanbases aren't ok with this?

Cause everyone knows deep down, if Bama feeds RB's, Bama LB's get healthy, they'd be tougher to beat....

Can you really say you’re the best team in the country after sitting out your conference champ?

Serious question....

Well that’s a stupid reason to put them in based on that alone. OSU would have been a nine point dog to Clemson. Unless the committee didn’t want Clemson to have a cakewalk to the NC, what other reason would they have to blindly put Bama in there? It has to do with the fact that they have one fewer loss. Which most fans get. But then don’t tout about the importance of conference championships if you leave out USC and OSU. The people want a clear indicator. Now let me ask you this... if there was a six team playoff, hypothetically who are your last two based on this year’s schedule? Would it be (5) OSU and (6) Wisky? I would have a problem with that. Why should two teams from the same conference get the benefit of the doubt? I could see USC and OSU in there at five and six. Doesn’t matter now, but pure speculation.

I’ll be happy if Bama wins. Bovada less so.

Because Alabama fans are almost as annoying as Old Piss fans. ALMOST.

Any single team in the top 9 could win it. BAMA shouldn't be given the opportunity to win it.

The narrative in any conference with a championship game now becomes a pro football fenagelin once you have the merits to get in. Why bother putting your best foot forward, especially if it buys you into another top 10 matchup that can only hurt if you lose.

You and all these other LSU haters (and a few Auburn folks, too) are completely forgetting the entire goal of the playoff system. Simply put, it's designed to bring the best 4 teams together to decide a national champion.
They did exactly this..no politics, no monetary considerations, no popularity contests....these are the best 4 teams in the country.
And if you don't believe that Alabama belongs in that group, then you should look at what the people who make a fortune from these types of things think about it....that'd be the professional handicappers, otherwise known as the "Vegas line". Alabama is the favorite to win it all!

Your best win is against one of LSU's weakest teams in 15 years.

You beat NO ONE of worth this year.

I don't know if bama will win or lose, but I do know a bama loss hurts the SEC's chances of getting 2 in the future. So that's frustrating, simply because I don't think this bama team is on the same planet as their national title teams.

Because people believe that Bama shouldnt keep getting everything handed to them. Especially when their own coach flip flops on rules one year to the next when it favors him.

Bama fatigue. Plus u got in without having to play in the sec championship. No one is happy y’all got in. But being objective, your resume is better than Ohio State’s in my opinion. You can’t get blown out by Iowa and expect to get into the playoffs.

No one is mad. We’re just disgusted.

To me Alabama looks to be around 7th or 8th best team in the country. I keep seeing that Bama's loss in the iron bowl wasn't that bad. Exactly what game were you guys watching? Lost by 2 scores and AU fumbled on the 4 yard line in that game. Bama was fortunate it wasn't a 20 point loss. Fact is, even Auburn with 3 losses has a vastly superior resume than Bama who played exactly zero playoff teams and got trucked by the only top 10 team they played. Escaping state was somehow a good win? Auburn beat them by 40. Auburn played 4 playoff teams and split those games which I think only a couple teams could have done. I'm not arguing AU be in the field because the LSU choke job as a third loss was too much. That said, it just shows how incredibly weak Bama's schedule was. People are upset because the eye test tells them Bama is not a top 4 team and were rewarded a chance at a national championship without winning division, being idle while the rest of the top 10 played in championship games, and don't have a win of note this year.
