If Georgia wins, I could see the committee wanting a team east of Mississippi in playoffs. Looks like Oklahoma might play their usual part when fulfilling that west coast void.

We'll see, LSU would be best not give the committee the chance to leave them out. Win and you're in....

re: Does Alabama feel left out?

Historically, Bama teams have had better results when they're not favorites all year. Just look how many times Bama has won national titles when ranked #2 close to seasons end, or not favorites throughout year. This goes all the way back to 1992 Suger Bowl (Miami). This has continued under Saban also...

Last thing this Bama teams needs is everyone telling them how great they are. A chip on the shoulder does wonders....
Bama could have 10 straight seasons of crap and still have a full cup of brew. Most of the SEC, not so much.....

During "The Bear" and recently under Saban, Bama fans have memories that last fans a lifetime. Anything else Bama/Saban accomplishes now is extra cherries on top of an already awesome sundae.

I wouldn't worry to much about what Bama has or had. Now for underacheivers, like Georiga, Florida, LSU, Notre Dame, worry all you'd like! No way programs with that kind of talent should be without recent titles.
2018 Bama kills 2012 Notre Dame if played

Two complete different games that just happen to have similar scores in the end.

---- Notre Dame stood no chance ----
No matter what they did or didn't do -vs- Bama
1st downs = 28 -vs- 16 Bama
Yards = 529 -vs- 302 total yds for Bama
Possession = 38:13 -vs- 21:47 Bama
Bama took foot of gas also

---- If Bama finishes their offensive drives ----
It's a completely different game in 4th quarter
1st downs = 23 -vs- 21 Bama
Yards = 482 -vs- 443 Clemson
Possession = 31:37 -vs- 28:23 Bama
Both teams had foot on gas-pedal whole game

One game was a killing (Bama -vs ND)
One game was competitive regardless of score (Bama -vs- Clemson)

One team took total advantage of opportunities
Hard to win a game when your team has a 13 play/51 yards drive, 8 play/59 yards, and 9 plays/61 yards but no points on any of those drives (That was in 3rd quarter and if Bama scores points here, we get the same finishes we got during previous Bama -vs- Clemson playoff games)

Plus, Bama's inability to get Clemson off-the-field during their 3rd down opportunities was crucial and vise-verses with Bama's offense not covering 3rd downs. Shoot, that last drive of Clemson (That ate up 10 minutes in 4th) had Bama doing something I haven't seen from Bama in a long time. Bama gave up during that 4th quarter drive but 44-16 was a HUGE gap for any comeback. So its somewhat understandable. Those missed 3rd quarters offensive opportunities killed any chance Bama had of staying within striking distance. Bama made those plays when they fell behind during season, but Bama playing with that fire finally caught up to them.

That was 2018's Bama identity and it was a dangerous identity to have. When you play great teams like Clemson, you better take advantage of your opportunities, period!!!

These two games(Bama -vs Notre Dame & Bama -vs- Clemson) had completely different level of competition within them, and anyone saying otherwise doesn't know football, is maybe ate up with Bama envy/hate, or just likes to Troll...:lol:

Again, 2018 Bama kills 2012 Notre Dame if played

Oh well, this was Blues best chance and I'm afraid Boston wins game 7 at home.

I'm hope I'm so wrong, but when you win game 5 on-the-road, you've gotta close the deal at home next game!

Go Blues !!!!!

Good job Blues, hope your team brings home "The Cup"!!! I'd be nice for the Blues fan base to enjoy a "Stanley Cup" celebration.

Stinks, I haven't been able to watch Playoff Hockey lately (Very busy) but I'm pulling for anyone not Boston.

Go Blues!!!!!!

re: Is Dabo Really That Good?

Posted by SquirrelyBama on 6/4/19 at 4:43 am
He's that good and Clemson or Georgia can match Bama's talent level these days. Plus, Dabo was brave enough to switch QB's after realizing what he had wasn't good enough to win the big prize, and that alone deserves praise.

Thought episode was solid and finished with a tight bow. If we're honest, the mad queen was always a possiblity. What choice did Snow have? None....

Just saw this after my post above, I'd love to watch all that and even more of their history.

Going to rewatch whole series after and read books also. Bet following this show for 7 1/2 seasons was a cool ride, but waiting for season cliffhangers would've been insane.

Plus, not getting surprises spoiled was probally a difficult task if one watched since begining. I've only been on GOT train for 3 weeks and I've stayed off social sites because I don't want to know any spoilers. Shoot, that's one of the best things about this show, is the surprises, or trying to figuring out what might happen next! Can't wait to see how it all ends, but with only two episodes left, I'm bumnmed that we won't learn more historical stuff (War, wall, mad king, etc.) We loved those few historical flashbacks they've had but they didn't give us enough of it....:(
