Why is Bama an unattractive job now to premier coordinators?

The decline is real. Nothing but retreads and unproven greenhorns want to work for Nick. I respect Saban immensely, his first year at LSU was my freshman year at LSU, that baw will always be high in my list of respected sports figures.

But it seems the sun is setting on his run, and the days of having elite coordinators are over for CNS. Bama is just another job now that the playing field is leveled with money management.

Are Tide fans able to cope with this comeuppance? It seems the decline tree has established roots in Tuscaloosa soil.

NS is tough to work for but the top programs are paying in excess of 1M to their OC and DC. Makes it hard to steal a good one.

It’s on par with other tier 1 SEC schools but nothing like it once was.

Bama used to be hard nosed and instill fear, but the success brought about a different mentality. It’s evident in the results of late.

Bama has largely hired coordinators who left their prior jobs in disgrace to join the Saban Coaching rehab thing the media calls it. I guess no big names got fired that could sweep in this time.

Saban will hire a better than average OC in the near future. That person will move on in another couple of years to a head coaching job or an even better job in the NFL.

'bama OC is still a great job for an upcoming coach. You are crazy if you honestly think the most young coaches would pass up a chance to work for Saban.

Please list specifically which prior Alabama OCs and DCs you considered "premier" before they took the job.

You guys have laughed your asses off at every hire he's made. Jim Mcelwain was a nobody, Kiffin was an unstable child, Locksley was only promoted into the job because nobody else wanted it, Sark is a drunk..........

*Edit I forgot about Daboll who was only a TEs coach that nobody wanted.

After +15 yrs of LSU folk having Bama on the Brain with Nick Saban at the helm they-will-never-learn.
