Why I hate being a Georgia sports fan

1991 Braves lost game 7 of the World Series 1-0 after leading 3 games to 2 thanks to Kirby Puckett’s game 6 walk off homer and Lonnie Smith’s game 7 base running goof. Not to mention Kent Hrbek pulling Ron Gant off of first base.
1992 Braves lost the World Series to the Blue Jays when Otis Nixon tried to bunt his way on for the last out.
1993 Braves lost the NLCS to the Phillies after winning 104 regular season games
1996 Braves were up 2 games to none against the Yankees coming back to Atlanta. Jim Leyritz broke Mark Wholers with his 3 run homer in game four to tie the game. It was all downhill after that.
1997 Braves won 101 regular season games but lost the NLCS to the Marlins when Eric Gregg’s strike zone was bigger than his arse.
1998 Braves won 106 regular season games but couldn’t get out of the NLCS, again.
1999 Falcons lost the Super Bowl after Bart Star Award Winner (given annually to a player who best exemplifies outstanding character and leadership in the home, on the field and in the community), Eugene Robison , was arrested for trying to solicit a prostitute the week of the game. Amazingly enough, he was torched for an 80 yard TD to begin the rout.
1999 Braves were swept out of the World Series after winning 103 regular season games. Their third straight year of winning over 100 games without winning a World Series.
2002-2018 Braves loose 9 NLDS/WC series
2012 UGA loses the defacto national title game to Alabama as time runs out inside the 10 yard line.
2017 Falcons lost the super Bowl after being up by 25 in the third.
2018 UGA loses the national title game on second and 26.
2020 Braves blow a 3 games to 1 lead in the NLCS against the Dodgers.

It's been rough sledding. It's not like our teams haven't been in the national discussion for championships, it's that we always blow our chances. Sucks.

If the Braves go on to win the World Series, they will have broken the Georgia curse. If that happens, I have zero doubt UGA would win the National Title.

I fired the Falcons from my lineup and added the Hawks who made a huge run last year and would have won out if not for that freak referee stepping on Tra Young’s leg… Braves doing good and so is the Georgia BullDawgs!

Having lived in GA all my life, all but the years I attend Bama, believe me, losing in GA has absolutely nothing to do with a curse of anything else.
It has everything to do with players not making plays and coaches or manager making dumb calls.
Just about every single one of those games you listed also included a player or coach/manger doing something stupid. And I can add a few for you:
Mark Richt should have spiked the ball, even Arron Murray knew it, our defense of gassed.
Should have run the ball after Julio catch, but no Shanihan had be so cute and pass the ball, Ryan is sacked and that's the ball game.
GA defense and HC were too busy celebrating the sack to get set on defense and we caught you guys not playing attention.
The Braves were young last year, different team this year. Stop worrying so much, we got this!

Another mistake, imo, was the fact that they only threw 4 passes the whole game to Julio. You have to throw more than 4 passes to a hof receiver in the super bowl.

Not necessarily. I watched the Braves win it all like everyone else vs the Indians. Now don't act like it didn't happen.
