Well, come this Sunday UGA will still be ranked #1 and loathed by all other SEC ranters for at least one more week.

Take solace as odds are good this year that the Braves and UGA will finish on top. Hope y'all can at least close out the Dodgers this year. The Astros don't have the pitching to win it all if they get past Boston this weekend.

You guys broke the glass ceiling for SEC teams winning the CWS back in 1990. I watched that series and was pulling for the Dawgs.

Nickling and dimeing Frank Broyles and Dan Devine, 13 straight losing seasons, 4 conference championship game losses, 2015, Odom, and that's just football. Our lone national title in any sport came in 1954 when the baseball team won the CWS.

The Braves might've had better pitching than hitting back then, but Cox didn't do the offense any favors. I mean, I lost count of how many times I heard the phrase "strike 'em out, throw 'em out" in the broadcast booth when the Braves were at bat

Being a Braves & Bama fan, the one consolation if the Dawgs win it all this year is the UGA fans will feel what I'd feel if the Braves won it all.
Not a big Kirby fan, but I know lots of great UGA people, and I respect the program. And the players on this year's Georgia team seem like good guys.
Not rooting for it obviously, but it would be a magical thing for them, and I might spend some time soaking in happy bar reactions & stuff like that on YouTube.
