There's more to this than just an affair.

Not to defend his actions, but it takes more than 1 to have an affair.

Some random person, none would care outside of a religious oriented school or morality clause that highlighted affairs as a no-no.

Nearly all major companies have rules and non-fraternization policies banning romantic or sexual relationships between supervisors and direct subordinates, due to potential power imbalances and legal risks.

The harassment claims, conflicts of interest, and unfair treatment accusations are potentially endless when things go sour, which they inevitably do.

What is this youtube? Are you trying to avoid demonetization?

He broke into her apartment the other day with a knife and threatened to kill her and himself if she didn't agree to an abortion. Just guessing it had to do with the impending firing from his $7M/year coaching job and the subsequent divorce he's about to go through as a result.

That's not me talking, that's from the Ann Arbor police department report.

Its like the Petrino situation... only infinitely worse.

Some people had commented on X that Moore did in fact have a morality clause written in his contract. And he violated it so he’s fired for cause

You're basically wrong if that person is a subordinate. This has been beat to death in the courts. He has tremendous influence on her income and general well-being.

Rumors were that he would promote her is she had an abortion. She had one last year. He gets her pregnant again and she said she’s keeping the baby. Moore loses his shite about it and tries to go OJ and ends up arrested

Let's be honest, if a coach is winning NCs shite will get covered up and people will get paid off. If you're not winning it gives folks the perfect out with cause, bottom line: Just Win Baby!

The liability a relationship with the staffer alone is worthy of dismissal for cause.

Although, if he were on a different winning trajectory at UM, I certainly believe this wouldn't be news. There would be a settlement and NDA.

It sounds like it wasn’t a secret though. Which is why there may be fallout in their athletics department.

You ever hear of a Morals Clause or Good Character Clause in a Coaching contract?

Whoah, that's a long term affair. And adds more information to the big raise

The threatened violence is the worst part but the chronic stupidity is pretty amazing. Taking no steps to prevent another pregnancy is retarded.

Moore wasn't fired for an affair. He was fired for violating a policy by having an affair with a subordinate.

He reportedly gave her a huge raise.

You can bet the sexual harassment lawsuit is inbound.

Well, with the way things have been going, who knows what language is going to offend someone?

& the post didn’t say anything about doing himself in as well.

Meh, sometimes maybe. Bobby Petrino had just finished a season where his team went 11-2, losing only to the 2 teams in the national title game. Arkansas finished the season ranked #5. It was the most successful run that program had had since the 60s. Yet he was fired for having an affair with a staffer, and the firing happened right before the 2012 season started. It completely tanked the program, yet they still did it.
