Texas? What about Troy? Why does a baseball field in Pike County Alabama, known as the “wire grass” region of the state has fake grass just doesn’t make sense. Bermuda is king in South Alabama.

Perhaps one day they'll demolish the whole thing and build a new fancy ballpark. Until then, with the shade the overhang creates and the orientation of the field, and the concrete base, and so on and so forth, it'll have to do. We'll survive.

I hate when turf design doesn’t even try to fake it like a real field. Like Texas that only has brown turn around the bases.

I like turf like Georgia’s that actually looks like a real field.
