If your sole ambition in life is to troll LSU fans on a message board, then by all means continue. I hope it gives you the joy and contentment you seek.

It's pretty easy to troll anyone on their own boards. But Alabama fans have generally been known as losers who gravitate toward Alabama football to feel like they've actually accomplished something.

This is really no different, I suppose.

Google AI has this to say.

quote:

The idea of an LSU fan "inferiority complex" usually stems from a contrast between the program's massive success—including multiple national championships this century—and its intense comparison to elite SEC rivals like Alabama.

Opinions on Reddit are mixed regarding LSU's standing; some fans assert that LSU belongs firmly in the upper echelon of college football alongside the sport's absolute giants, while critics argue that inconsistency relative to programs like Alabama fuels an underlying chip on their shoulder. This tension is often amplified by historical ghosts, such as Nick Saban’s hugely successful tenure in Baton Rouge followed by his even more dominant run at arch-rival Alabama.

Core Factors Behind the Narrative

The Shadow of Alabama: Saban’s departure to and dominance with a direct conference rival forged a deep-seated sensitivity among the fanbase regarding national respect and historical hierarchy.

Elite Expectations: Holding the second-highest number of national titles in the modern era creates an expectation of permanent elite status, leaving fans hyper-sensitive to being grouped with second-tier programs.

Volatility and Pressure: High financial investments and immediate pressure to contend (magnified during transitions with coaches like Brian Kelly and Lane Kiffin) lead outsiders to view the fanbase's reactions as intense or insecure

What is sad all Bama has left to gloat about is LSU and its hopeful demise. Bama knows they are looking at 5th or 6th place in SEC for the future. Get your happiness from the past I’ll allow it might save some sisters/wives.

Bama single-handedly ruined our epic run in the 2010s. We have a bit or hate for them. Sorry.

I know this can be a difficult concept for Alabama fans but you don't actually win anything or improve your standing in life just because the football team wins.

That's an Alabama fan myth.

I really wish you were right. I agree 100% with you and I think you make an excellent point… there are FAR more impactful things for a grown adult to invest that much emotion into.

The level of frustration and emotion I witnessed that night in Tiger Stadium in 2012, while just enjoying another trip to BR to watch my Tide play there tune up game before the Iron Bowl and the serious stuff all begins, had a deep impact on me.

If you refer back to the OP you are will see where I expressed that same sentiment (check under the TJ Yeldon screen play). I do not take pleasure from another human being’s suffering.

Maybe if you would be willing to partake in an open and honest conversation with someone then maybe you can deal with your previous traumas….I think knowing that you are NOT alone and that thousands+ have dealt with the EXACT same thing you have and they have overcome it (to varying levels of success).

I think the LSU/Tigershittings part of this website would be even more beneficial, but there are countless others on this SECrant message board part that have experienced the same thing as yourself and I GUARANTEE you that you could find one that’s willing to speak with you about it and be there for you almost like a group therapy or AA sponsor type thing that has PROVEN to help change people lives.

The best I can offer you is this:

“Our pain is self-chosen”

They are beside themselves in here this morning. They are screaming and yelling that they aren’t scared and posting continuously. Reek is lashing out everywhere she can. One of them is writing whole arse novels like he’s tooting lines.

They are truly falling apart.

There are Alabama fans like the OP and some others in this thread I could name who seem to internalize any criticism regarding "their" football team. Who takes that much time to type all that shite out? Having lived in the state over half my life I've witnessed it first hand. They take it as a personal affront. They like to dog on Louisiana, but there is not a larger, trashier bandwagon fan base in Amertca. Most of their alumni are decent people, but the bandwagon portion of their fanbase is the worst.

(Sorry I know gloating about anyone’s death is unsavory, but especially the death of an entire fanbase)

RIP

I know this is a troll, but seriously, why would I ever let a loss to any team affect my life? Why would I cry or dwell on a game after it’s over? I love LSU athletics and enjoy being a fan and following the team, but sports, like everything else, have their proper place in the grand scheme of life.

If the outcome of a game that ultimately has no real impact on your life can ruin your day or consume you, you might want to take a step back and find some perspective. It’s sports, enjoy the wins, accept the losses, and move on. There are far more important things in life.

If you care to spend as much time looking back at my post history as you have writing novels in this thread, you will see that I don't start threads trolling Alabama's "decline". I don't believe in starting troll threads regarding teams that have scoreboard on us. I also have a degree from the University of Alabama. However, it is the sidewalk portion of your fanbase that I loathe. I've lived around them most of my life. There is a reason Paul Finebaum has a job.

These are Alabama fans who daily log on to an LSU board and then ragebait themselves into melts like the OP.

It's quite psychotic really. Studies could be done about it.

They believe they are the trolls but if you notice, a thread like this is a reaction to some previous post, so who is really being trolled here? They'd tell you that its certainly not the Alabama fans who are coming to an LSU board daily.

Thank you for providing this. It’s certainly more insight than what anyone will provide me here. There have been a couple honest reflections from LSU fans and I appreciate it and also respect the honesty.

The other 90%+ are all just responses from LSU fans mocking Alabama football, which ironically is the premise of my OP.

Thanks again

I'm not sure why it's supposed to be our fault that Alabama fans can't stop coming to an LSU board and pissing themselves off.

Kind of like going to the SECCG, Playoffs, advancing in Playoffs, 8-1 vs SEC opponents, Rose Bowl????

Yeah I mean I can live with for year 2.

Are your standards for Joey Kiffin the same?

If he doesn’t do better by year 2 than ONLY:
Going to the SECCG (regular season champs like Bama was of game doesn’t exist by then), isn’t in the Playoffs, isn’t winning more than 2 games in the Playoffs, 11+ wins by year 2…..

Will you be consistent, and come here and admit LK was a failure the sane way you have for CKD?

I guess we could throw beating Bama year 1 by 40+ to the list too if you want to set the bar to the exact same height?
