Would you rather work for 5 (competing) bosses or one? This isn’t commentary on Charlie Strong, but it’s an indictment on Texas leadership. They can’t play political games with athletics and expect to compete with the Alabamas of this world.

When Saban was at LSU, the administration was 100% in. So much so that the LSU compliance officer was relegated to a broom closet. Alabama’s administration is 100% in, to the same degree.

Texas’ admin is playing politics with the boosters.

He coached one of the best all time offensive games against OSU last year. Bama had great talent, but he maximized that’ll talent. Yes, he’ll do fine.

If all 5 of those guys can create a network of bagmen for me then I know who I want I'd toss them the keys to the facilities and tell em to go nuts.

Except all 5 of those guys want you to run the football program how they want...and they don’t all agree.

Everyone looks good as a coordinator for Alabama. Its very hard to fail there when you have more talent than anyone you play. He got fired at the Falcons and the last time he was a college head coach he got fired for hitting the bottle to hard.

Because Every fans that came from Alabama have failed to live up to expectation. Kirby is at Georgia and has not won a championship yet.

It is Saban - not his OC’s. Every single coach under him has been “decent” after leaving. Sark was decent before, and will be no different. What he needs to do is keep out of the bars in Austin. So far he’s had to be picked up by the University multiple times. It’s the stress of the job. Every coach that leaves looks wrung out when they leave

Literally no one but a minority of UTA fans believe Sark is capable, and they know they're deluding themselves.

He's a bed shitter. Always has been.

They hope ALABAMA rubs off on them. Cristobal, Jimbo, Napier, Dantonio, etc, keep hope alive.

Texas is focusing too much on who the coach is. It’s not the coach who holds them back. It’s all the admins who allow the boosters to have their hands in the cookie jar.

They need to get the cronyism out and get everyone on the same page. Until then, no coach will save them and they’ll continue to be underachieving.
Actually 100% agree with this. I wouldn't say it's the boosters, entirely, but the entire athletic department is bloated with dinosaurs collecting a paycheck.

Looks like you and Tennessee are going to have a lot more in common than the so-called power t.

Everyone doesn’t think he will turn them around. That’s not a universal thing. Some People think he has a good chance because of the talent on the roster that he is stepping in to. Herman recruited well but failed to develop and failed to prepare the team to win.

The talent is there. All it takes is changing mindset and changing schemes. I am not saying they’ll turn it around but I wouldn’t be shocked if the turnaround comes sooner than later.
