Everyone looks good as a coordinator for Alabama. Its very hard to fail there when you have more talent than anyone you play. He got fired at the Falcons and the last time he was a college head coach he got fired for hitting the bottle to hard.

Oh, he'll turn them around alright. A complete 360. :)

He’s got a barely above .500 record

Just like Texas the past ten years

Everyone always thinks the next Texas coach will turn them around. Sark will be mediocre, just just like everyone else since DKR not named Mack Brown.

*Post about Texas*
*Three different aggies jump to respond*

Not everyone is convinced with Sark. We're happy to have him instead of Herman, and I think he could be good here. But while I like his demeanor and think he's the best Texas could have feasibly hired after the 2020 season, it'll definitely be a wait and see.

I feel like I felt about Herman when Texas hired him: that he's at least got potential to be good. More than Strong ever did.

Coach Herman was just weird. I think Coach Sark has a chance, IF the boosters leave him alone.

He’s an SEC coach now. He can get all the recruits that UT/TU was losing to Blynn

When Strong came in you all were so excited and knew he would be the one, just like you did with Herman, and now with Sark.I used to subscribe to Orange Bloods to enjoy the delusion and the melts and I know what tu fans were saying about Strong.

What was it about Strong you hated? He was set up to fail from the start because of the boosters

Well, he also started the season 3-2.

Funny enough, he was fired after he lost to Washington, the team he was the coach of previously.

Washington was coached by Peterson, who is who USC originally tried to hire for the job. Peterson turned USC down, USC hires Sark. Washington hires Peterson.

Crazy series of events.

But all I ever hear from Texas fans is that they can buy anything they want.

Saban thought enough of him to hire him…twice… and turn game-day reins over to him. Pete Carroll apparently highly respects him. So….

I could value the actions of Saban and Carroll, …. or i could substitute my flawed personal opinion in conjunction with the opinions of a lot of chat board geniuses.

Let me see…Saban and Carroll? … or …. Chat board geniuses? Hummmmmm boy, it is a hard choice…

Strong was and is a terrible coach. That dude needs to give Teddy Bridgewater a huge chunk of that money he made. Strong wasn’t set up to fail. Dude was a lousy coach period. South Florida can attest to this.

I was just trying to add some humor.

Mostly I agree with your sentiment, though I think all 3 (Strong, Herman, Sark) had the potential to be good.

I feel like this:
* Strong --> boosters got in the way and he wasn't ready to deal with them.
* Herman --> boosters got in the way and he'll never be ready to deal with them.
* Sark --> boosters might get in the way and he might be able to deal with them.

Good luck. Sort of. :)

Let’s just say I fully expect him to bring his winning ways to the 40 Akers.
