Why does everyone seem to hate Nate Oats?

You can tell he’s a good guy. He’s polite, he respects other coaches, and he knows his stuff. Not sure where the hate is coming from.

Partly because Bama's posters have been little extra during Basketball season and it's a little fear mixed in.
You have people who post more Bama Basketball than their actual University. Savor the aroma....

I am excited he’s in the SEC. I remember the days where the SEC was lucky to get 2 teams in the NCAA tourney. I hope all schools across the board in the conference do more to promote basketball. Makes for an exciting league

Rumor in coaching circles is he's an a-hole which is why nobody wanted to give him a chance. I've never met the man so I can't judge.

The only folks that hate Nate Oats are LSU fans. He told their coach to get the frick out and it hurt their feelings they are some thin skinned pussies.

He's been in college basketball for only 8 seasons, and it only took him 4 years as a head coach to land a job in the SEC.
