Why does Alabama pay homage to Tennessee at every home game at BDS?

Seems odd to me

Doubt the Pitt Panthers would play "Take Me Home Country Roads" at home against West Virginia

Don't recall Auburn playing "Georgia On My Mind" in Jerdan Hare

Like the "Dixieland Delight" song but don't get why Alabama chooses a Tennessee song

Guess it's a better fit than "Rocky Top"

It makes our linebackers hit harder.

I can’t imagine the uproar if y’all lost 3 QBs in a row.

Why does Florida play I Won't Back Down?

Because they do, in fact, back down.

Its a unique way to honor a program that is 39-59 all time vs The King of CFB

This is the dumbest line

We got y'all last year and beat the shite out of you in 2009 for the natty. I'll endure this year's loss, especially if we can get our paws on you again. That's what I am hoping for.

I bet vegas would favor us.

It's called history and tradition... I guess something OP doesn't know anything about.

Alabama owns Tennessee. That includes all their songs. Pretty simple really. Why else do you think a band named ‘Alabama’ recorded it?

Written by the Band Alabama, seems strange, but they get to shout F*$* Auburn (Always on their minds) and they enjoy it, so who give a #hit.

Lyrics
Rollin' down a Backwoods, Tennessee byway
One arm on the wheel
Holdin' my lover with the other
A sweet, soft, southern thrill
Worked hard all week, got a little jingle
On a Tennessee Saturday night
Couldn't feel better, I'm together
With my Dixieland delight
Spend my dollar
Parked in a holler 'neath the mountain moonlight
Hold her uptight, make a little lovin'
A little turtle dovin' on a Mason-Dixon night
Fits my life, oh, so right
My Dixieland delight
White-tail buck deer munchin' on clover
Red-tail hawk sittin' on a limb
Chubby old groundhog, croakin' bullfrog
Free as the feelin' in the wind
Home-grown country girl gonna give me a whirl
On a Tennessee Saturday night
Lucky as a seven, livin' in Heaven
With my Dixieland delight
Spend my dollar
Parked in a holler 'neath the mountain moonlight
Hold her uptight, make a little lovin'
A little turtle dovin' on a Mason-Dixon night
Fits my life, oh, so right
My Dixieland delight
Spend my dollar
Parked in a holler 'neath the mountain moonlight
Hold her uptight, make a little lovin'
A little turtle dovin' on a Mason-Dixon night
Fits my life, oh, so right
My Dixieland delight
Rollin' down a backwoods, Tennessee byway
One arm on the wheel
Holdin' my lover with the other
A sweet, soft, southern thrill
Worked hard all week, got a little jingle
On a Tennessee Saturday night
Couldn't feel better, I'm together
With my Dixieland delight

Shows just what a dumbass you are. It was written by Ronnie Rogers and sung by the Hall of Fame group ALABAMA.

I'll go with this.
The Tennessee River pretty much runs across the Northern half of the state. And The University of Tennessee is our biggest out of state rival.

Same reason they stole the Braves logo and added a mullet to it. They lack creativity.

Nostradamus is wrong again. Alabama was using the script A as early as 1958. While the Braves were still in Milwaukee.

I can't imagine being as ignorant as you are. Just shows why you're a Barn fan. Hear y'all have seen the light being a mediocre team and are looking to jump to the ACC!! Little brother syndrome has had it's effect for sure.

I've been to a many of Auburn games, and I do believe that "Glory, glory to ole Auburn" was stolen from glory, glory to ole Georgia.
