I bet they wouldn’t. Also the loss to Texas will likely be what keeps y’all out of the natty. If y’all had won that game you would likely make the playoffs even if you lose to Georgia in the SEC championship. That’s gotta hurt.

It's almost like A&M always singing about saw Varsity's horns off.

Because Tennessee and Bama built this freakin conference.

You know the same conference that you really don't belong in. Stay in the big 12 you wannabe UT.

Here is the writer of “Dixieland Delight” listening to the song in Bryant-Denny Stadium a few weeks ago (while wearing a Bama hat):

UT fans getting all worked up by a song sung by a band called Alabama.

Bama should play rocky top next year. The VOLS would lose their shite.

Be careful what you wish for….

I would gladly take a bowl game rematch if Alabama and Texas get left out of the playoffs.

We all saw what we saw. Bama losing by 10 at home for the first time in the Saban Era wasn’t a fluke.

Texas was simply the better team.

The fundamentals of the matchups between Texas and Alabama haven’t changed.

Hook'em

You outed yourself as a corndog alter a long time ago. Playing pretend is fun I guess, especially after your real team gets their arse beat.

Alabama owns Tennessee. That includes all their songs. Pretty simple really. Why else do you think a band named ‘Alabama’ recorded it?

Wouldn't "Sweet Home Alabama" by Lynyrd Skynyrd (despite being from Florida) be more appropriate?

Alabama is one of my all-time favorite country music acts, but that really IS a silly song for the University of Alabama.

Better?

Like the "Dixieland Delight" song but don't get why Alabama chooses a Tennessee song

Alabama owns Tennessee so it owns Tennessee's songs too. They probably just like to rub it in.

The group "Alabama" recorded the #1 song in 1983. Three of the boys in the band were born and raised in Ft. Payne, Alabama which is located in the Tennessee Valley next to the Tennessee River which runs through the northern part of Alabama. Ft. Payne is about 50 miles from the TN state line.

The official video of "Dixieland Delight" was filmed in the town of Ft. Payne, Alabama.

The group Alabama also sang the song "If you're gonna play in Texas, you got to have a fiddle in the band."

It's just tradition. Been doing it forever. It's from a group called Alabama. Ut and Bama has always been a special day and tons of UT grads live in Bama and vice versa but mainly, It sounds weird but at Bama we do things for the simple reason it's always been done.
Dixieland Delight
Uniforms
Band warming up at the Quad when they have the finest band practice field in America
Steaks and baked beans after the Spring game
Orange mashed potatoes before the UT game
Rammer Jammer

Its just always been done so we keep doing it.
