Lots of haters stepping in here. Personally I dont see many Arkansas fans walking around talking about Bert being better than Bobby, but if they are its probably residual butthurt from his exit...which I think is understandable.

I love Bert and I loved Bobby. It really really sucked that he lied to the AD and basically forced Long to fire him. I was pissed at him forever for that and still kinda am.

That being said I'm happy we have Bert now and I think he is doing things the right way here. People act like its easy to be a 10 win team every year in the SEC west and thats just completely wrong.

One thing we can all agree on is that Bret had no idea how bad it was here when he accepted the job. I doubt he would have came if he really knew the true extent of the ruins that was our football program.

the arse beating that Bert will put on the Gators this year will be glorious on here. Chicken may have to shut it down a day or two to let the servers cool down.

So what I'm seeing is a coach that's gotten better every year after taking over a flaming train wreck and doing a complete 180 of the offensive system and is now 7-4 in SEC games since getting his 1st win. Sorry you're still living in 2013.

Two 7th place SEC West finishes and an overall winning percentage of .474 over the past 3 years isn't exactly cause for celebration

You apparently think a coach taking over a new program happens in a vacuum and any immediate failures are solely on them. That's not how things work.

bro 3-9 though. Even though he took over a program devoid of talent outside of 3 players that record is all due to his shite coaching.

Did you not notice the dumpster fire that was left after Petrino?

No way was he going to keep us a Top 10 team or get anywhere close to beating Bama. Petrino had a soft pussy-arse finesse team.

Bama is the benchmark, like it or not, and Bert's had them beat until the gritty end the last 2 years.

Arrests have basically come to an end, the team GPA is up, the APR is up, attrition is now players leaving early rather than flunking out or transferring due to arrests or character issues. Bert's kicked kids off the team for stuff Freeze, Gus, or Saban wouldn't even address or make players run laps for.

Accountability is high, depth is building with good kids, the walk-on program is a high value thing now and they're having to be selective w/ walk-ons now.

The assistant coaches Bert brings in leave in for HC jobs or the NFL.

There's a great vibe around the program where BP was a miserable frick who was narcisstic and mean to anyone and everyone.

You prove my point by having to celebrate single victories. At LSU we celebrate titles.

As a coach, I liked Petrino better. As the face of a program - Bert: hands down

Well, but for an Anthony Jennings prayer to Travin Dural, he would be 3-0 vs LSU.

You described the guy to a tee who runs the benchmark you mentioned.

If I had to win one game, Petrino. If I had to run a program, Bielema.

Honestly you could argue the only difference between the two's year two and three records is a decent kicker. 3 points a game in the SEC west can be the difference between 6 and 10 wins. Petrino had Zach Hocker and Bielema has had terrible kickers that have lost us games.

For being an offensive mastermind though I might take last year's offense over any of his
