you don't get it, Texas doesn't "get in line". Sure they might to get in line for a short period to get in the door, but once in they will push everyone out of the way to get to the front of the line. They have more money than anyone and they have more influence with the NCAA and media.

This is like watching someone saying I think I can do heroin one time and not get hooked because I'm a big boy!

You made a good case. And I believe you. F Texas. And one of your own and my own that will tell anyone all they need to know about Texas, Gene Stallings, was part of the impetus behind aTm getting out from under Texas, and that's good enough for me.

I love that SEC fans think they can control Texas. I remember back with Nebraska thought the same. Even OU does whatever Texas tells them to do, and they whip Texas regularly on the field

Texas never has and never will play nice.

I think it'll be great

While Alabama has improved in sophistication a lot in the last decade, it's still Alabama and half the fan base is third world shite

So urban Texas fans who can't name their starting RB yet show up to games in their pearl snap shirts and Lucchese boots getting bossed and ridiculed by a 350 pound Wal-Mart t-shirt wearing Alabama shebeast as they head back to Austin will be

I would love to be in the room when Texas realize that they have no more power than USCe.

Nebraska and Oklahoma

vs.

Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Auburn, LSU, and presumably, if you stop being a vagina, A&M

The existing SEC runs Atlanta, Nashville, the entirety of Florida and New Orleans. A&M provides us parts of Dallas and Houston. Stop being a bitch.

You guys, and I mean A&M, also don't really understand our league and the history of some of our schools. You entered in and became familiar with this whole thing when it was the gold standard. There was a long period before that where it was not. Alabama, and a large chunk of this league, will destroy ourselves and try our best to destroy everyone around us before we go simping off on bended knee. We've done it before and we'll do it again. Go read up on the 1990s and early 2000s of SEC football.

This league was built on telling bigger, richer, supposedly better schools and programs to go fvck themselves. We've been doing it to eachother, the B1G and the nation since Alabama went out to the Rose Bowl for the first time. If you think the University of fvckin Texas is going to walk in and all of sudden destroy 100 years of that sort of culture and attitude then you need to re-educate yourself on the league you are in.

Yeah, I agree with you. Honestly, Aggies must still be pretty traumatized, but comparing the big 12 to the SEC is not apples to apples at all.

The SEC schools refuse to cowtow to Ohio State, Notre Dame and Michigan for 100 years but will bow to their Quasi-California overlords from Austin, Texas.

texas will try to manhandle the SEC but there are too many big dogs to deal with their shite. I think the bigger question is whether texas can handle being 1 of 16. They may think yes now but after a few years of not getting their way I could see them bailing.

There’s enough power to keep them at bay. But nobody wants to deal with their bullshite when they try. And they’ll absolutely try.

It’ll start with them wanting to keep the Longhorn Network. Wanting the SEC Basketball Tournament in Texas in the rotation. And so on. Then they’ll try to upset the balance of even bowl shares. And TV market shares.

Why deal with that when you can extend an invite to a host of other teams that are far less of a headache?

The SEC cares about making money on ticket sales at the SEC tournament. Texas doesn't get a say in that, but we sure as hell do. I'm sure there will be a one off year if any of this happens just like the Tampa and New Orleans years, but by and large they know they have to accommodate Kentucky's fan base as far as the SEC tournament is concerned. They know who butters their bread there.

Maybe out west in the colonies, but they don't have any influence in Georgia and Florida.

You ever watched the movie IT? At the end, all the adults band together and start chanting “You’re not real”

Eventually their belief and combined forces kills IT.

That’s how you have to treat Texas. People give them way too much credit.

Sure, they’ll knife a Vandy along the way like IT did but you still will win.
