Don’t tell it to me, tell it to Chris Low who interviewed the players and wrote the article.

The logic is that Kiffin is uniquely an a-hole.

There was zero reasons to let him coach.

Every team in the SEC would have made the same decision

Can you provide one quote from an Ole Miss player asking him to stay? Several have said they wanted him gone

When you fire someone in your office to whom you owe 2 weeks notice, you walk them to the door and pay them for the 2 weeks. You don't keep them around the office to cause trouble.

I could also see where this may have been used as a final bargaining chip to have him stay.

That’s all it was. LSU wasn’t pushing him to sign anything until after the playoffs. Ole Miss could’ve let him stay and coach, but they used the playoff to try to strong arm him into signing a contract extension. It was a dumbass move on their part.

I'm sure they didn't WANT to but they really had no choice.

All players have agents. Does anyone really think the agents don’t call head coaches?

Ole Miss did exactly what we wanted OM to do. It was handled as well as it could have been...and has been discussed repeatedly.

Every Ole miss fan alive would rather lose than have LK coach another game act Ole Miss.

If LK would have handled it better and let us know 3 weeks previous to his announcement giving us time to hire a new coach and staff, I'd have been ok letting him coach it to the end. But he didn't...he fricked around on the internet, trolling everyone just to keep from doing what they needed to do.

There's a right way and a wrong way to do what he did...and he did it as wrong as you can and had a blast doing it.....so F him and the rest of his stupid arse family.

So you wanted him to come out in the midst of the regular season and announce he was leaving?

I mean, there’s actual video footage of Verge Ausberry saying that they were willing to wait until after then. But don’t let actual facts get in the way of Ole Miss’ victim narrative.

Man, when someone quits on you and is moving on to a competitor, you don't let them hang around. You cut off all accounts, access, throw his shite in a box and escort his arse out.

You know, I agree that Ole Miss shouldn't have let the guys that left with Kiffin come back. It's a bad look. You take whoever and whatever is left and let the chips fall where they may. However, Carter made the right decision to not let Kiffin coach moving forward. There is no one on this board that would allow that with their HC in the same situation. Going to a rival, an annual opponent in the league.

Ole Miss fans have consistently been wrong about pretty much everything since Kiffin announced he was leaving.

Supposedly they were afraid of “tampering”, him recruiting players to follow him to LSU. But then they let multiple assistant coaches who are going to LSU with Lane come back to coach the playoffs. And now there are rumblings from people in and around the Ole Miss program that they think those assistant coaches they WANTED back for the playoffs are, you guessed it, “tampering” with their players.

It’s 100% this.
