Hey, I remember that one! It was funny at the time, but didn't hold up long term.
Gee, I wonder what LSU did to remedy that?

the propaganda machine being pumped out of Oxford is absolutely ridiculous right now. It’s actually fricking hilarious to be honest.
For a small place, Oxford can pump out some massive propaganda and they all get on the same page quickly. It’s actually pretty impressive.

I’m sure they knew his departure would be messy. Also, continuity is gold.

Keith Carter has been looking for a reason/cause to fire Kiffin for 14 months. I won’t re-hash the gossip; we all know it, but the fact is that most of it (and more) is true. The problem wasn’t finding a cause; obviously, that’s easy with someone like Kiffin, but finding a cause that wouldn’t taint the image of the University. He didn’t want a cocaine, hookers, and student sex scandal on his hands.
He needed a miracle before facing the gallows for firing Ole Miss’s most successful head coach in over 50 years. It was the best for the University, but he couldn’t explain why without unleashing a massive scandal which would set back our athletic department a decade. He was about to sacrifice himself for the school he loved…until a miracle from the heavens appeared. In comes Verge’s dumbass. He started texting Kiffin on his University-owned phone, which Carter has access to. So, Carter started playing his in-conference rival like a fiddle. When all was said and done, he didn’t pay a massive buyout, but somehow got Ole Miss paid $4mm to get rid of Kiffin, and saddled his bitter rival with the $100mm+ massive liability.
This was chess played on a new level, and will go down in history as one of the greatest plays of all time. Just as the media has been saying repeatedly for the past six months, Ole Miss will indeed build a statue, but the nameplate will read Keith “Keyser Soze” Carter.

Since his departure, we've learned he was a shitbag who was drunk and having sex in a public bathroom, in just his first year there.
Then, he lied about having a dog, amongst other things (drugs, sex, and rock and roll).
Which of these are supposed to make me like him less?

To top it off, we're now learning that Lane was just chilling most of the year and Pete Golding was actually doing all of the recruiting and holding the team together.
The players allegedly hate him.
Ole Miss is better off now, and most are glad he's gone.
Why were they desperately trying to get him to sign a $13mil per year extension a week ago?
Because he won. He'll be up crap creek if he gets fired though. Lucky for you, this time prolly have no troubles and can find the cause.

Shut, The, Hell, Up, Really? You cocksuckers were fawning all over Lanie boy just a few weeks ago like he was the greatest coach in the world, how he loved Oxford(aka Heaven on earth), his family is with him in Oxford so he'll never leave(like they can't just move with him), blah, blah, blah, Now he is Satan reincarnate. Just admit you are the scorned ex lover who got jilted for the prettier girl(LSU Football). I'll give you Rebs one thing, y'all can spin the propaganda and get everyone on board like no one else except maybe the Democrat Party. There is no way in hell any sane person is glad that freaking Pete drunk caveman Golding is their coach over Lane Kiffin. No one.

The facts are that most of a story is true. Interesting.
Is this the new thing to act like a scorned woman after the break-up? Have some respect for yourselves and show some class. UM can't pretend to be the bigger person or speak from any place of moral high ground if they tolerated such behavior so long as Lane was winning.

Why does this also seem to be an Ole Miss HC pre-req for success there? Imagine how dominant he would have been if he focused on coaching.

Sorry yall are bad people. How about not covering up for another sleezebag…Freeze, Beard, Kiffin, Kennedy. Pretty extensive history of you ask me, but what do I know, I’m a “hillneck”.

I haven’t seen one Ole Miss fan or player that wants to keep him.

Lmao y’all are actually retarded. Sometimes I question if I make trolls too obvious, but I forget I’m dealing with people who genuinely think Baton Rouge is a nice place to live.

Why is LSU going to another low tier bowl game?

About midway through the hostage negotiations even Ole Miss fans and administrators turned on Lane.
I don't know if midway is the right word. They turned on him when they realized he was going to go to LSU. And at that point had he decided to stay at Ole Miss, LSU and their fans would have said we dodged a bullet. This isn't really hard to understand: whoever lost out was going to be pissed. But anyone arguing Ole Miss didn't want him to stay is either an idiot or more likely a liar.
