Coaches will probably have the 12' game on repeat throughout the football complex for the entire week.

LSU prepared Bama for defeat in reality
Bama doesn't have the miracle they beat A&M the next week IMO
doesn't take away from what the Ags did but look at it clearly and it's not that hard to figure out

Why did LSU beat A&M but Bama did not?
A&M has a really good team, and we were coming off of a crazy game against LSU in BR. We played our worst game of the year, and they played one of their best of the year.
I see. You had a 14-3 lead on us at halftime IN BATON ROUGE, and you had your "worst game of the year." ??????????????? How monumentally asinine and pompously wrong can you be ???
LSU's defense held your offense to 40 total yards and ZERO passing yards - 0, until Chavis decided to play a soft zone in the final minute and handed you the victory.
It was LSU that should have gone for one more fist down instead of playing for a FG (which we missed) from the Bama 28 with 2 minutes left.
One more first down, and we do three kneel-downs.
Cannot belive the arrogance of you things....
We had 435 yards total offense and had the game in our pockets, but handed it to you a silver platter, but you "played the worst game of the year."
Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.....
I hope Notre Dame humiliates the crap out of you.
Cue the Shama fans favorite word "butthurt." replies.

He was referring to our game against A&M the next weekend. Reading comprehension FTW!

Because Bama went to war with LSU the week before and was emotionally drained. It was a classic trap game. A&M jumped Bama early and then held on for dear life.
This plus Bama was feeling pretty invincible after reading and hearing about how they could beat half the NFL. I don't guess A&M was privy to that information.

Actually LSU's defense is faster. It takes a fast defense and a good/deep set of DBs who can cover in man. LSU has it more than Bama.
LSU's speed is the only thing that can keep up with the spread. Bama's LBs are fatt.

Outside of A.J., Bama's offense actually didn't play badly at all. They were running the ball at will and LSU never really stopped Bama's running game but Nussmeier's dumb arse kept putting the ball in A.J.'s hands. But you're right about LSU's offense. They had their way with Bama's defense. It makes you wonder why Les Miles teams look so much better in rivalry games (Bama, OU when he was at Okie State) than they do against other teams.

Intangibles don't exist.

A&M was about to murder LSU. LSU could not stop anything. anything. for the first quarter and a half. I think Manziel had 200 of his 275 yards passing through the first 20 minutes of the game.
Then LSU made some defensive adjustments that was able to contain the run up the middle and some of the short, quick passes.
In other games, when Manziel took off to run, he would typically find some space up the middle or take off to the corner and pick up the first down. However, against LSU, the D-line and LBers were too fast and did not allow him to reach the corner and turn it upfield.
Manziel finished with 27 yards rushing. He was running for his life in the backfield the rest of the game (after the first 20 minutes) and he couldn't find any running lanes. He couldn't pick up those first downs with his legs. This caused him to make some very uncharacteristic mistakes.
That's the reason LSU beat A&M even though Mett overthrew our receivers by 5 yards on roughly 30% of his throws.
UF has a great defense and played A&M in Manziel's first ever game. Bama doesn't have as fast a front 7 as LSU... and Manziel was able to pick up those first downs with his feet pretty easily... or he was able to get some space and find the open man. Against LSU, he didn't have any space.

Johnny Football said yesterday on the Dan Patrick show that LSU's defense was the fastest/quickest defense ATM played this year.

LSU was the better team in all 3 of those games and let one play each keep them from beating both UF and Bama. 9 out of 10 Bama still beats AM but just didn't get it figured out until it was too late.

Turnovers are going to be the most telling stat, but I think Bama's OC is terrible and tries to throw too much.

Heard Johnny had the flu when we played LSU.
