Wasn’t playing much. Had more PT in the NCAAt because of foul trouble. Season stats will show he averaged around 21 min per game, but most of those minutes came at the start of the season before the talented freshmen took his minutes as the season progressed.

Not too far off. With what Arkansas has coming back and what Muss has coming in, that’s why Desi transferred because he wasn’t going to get minutes.

Decent defender. Streaky but not dependable shooter.

Initially he was really good at driving and drawing contact to get to the free throw line. Teams figured this out and stopped fouling him. His career went into the shitter after that. He did play well against auburn though.

Good luck to Desi against any team not named Arkansas.

He wants more minutes. His minutes slowly dwindled as the year went on. He would get more minutes if people were in foul trouble.

He plays very hard. As other have said, he is also streaky.

He probably would have averaged less than 5 mins a game next year for the Hogs. Didn’t Bruce not let him commit for a while bc he was trying to reel in other players?

Congrats, I guess.

Lmao at Auburn fans acting like this is a big get.

Y’all obviously struck out with everyone you wanted to take his commitment. We upgraded with our transfers in vs out and nobody in the basketball world Denys that. Freshman were very talented last year as well.

Was Desi even a top 75 transfer on the market?

Good luck Auburn. You will need it.

Good luck to Desi.

Wanted to go where he'd have a better chance at playing time.

I wouldn’t. I’d be happy for him. He’s had a very good Razorback career. I think he’s talented but he just wasn’t the apple of Musselman’s eye for whatever reason. If he gets his shot back next season he can be a big time contributor for Auburn.

Desi Sills is a great player and a very good pickup for Auburn. Especially as a team who lacked a good ball handler minus Shariffe Cooper.

I hate to see him go but I guess he saw the writing on the wall with Davis, Notae, and Lykes coming in

The reason has been discussed. He spent the last half of the season as the 8th man, sometimes 9th man, off the bench. The only reason he transferred is for playing time. Like i said, he wouldnt have gotten much, if any, PT next year on this Arkansas team.

And finished the season like 1-17 behind the arc. Usually missing wide open looks.

He had a good effort game against Baylor but still missed open looks and mostly played because Notae was in foul trouble.

He was at the bottom of the pecking order with Devo, Lykes, Notae and KK coming back.

I like him but understand the move and it’s best for both parties.

Might want to do a deep dive into why he played in those games. Muss made sure to upgrade with taller guards that are better.

If he was a decent player in the tourney we may have got past Baylor but he isn’t.
He wasn’t a top 75 transfer on the market for a reason.
Check out our roster and let me know who he would have played over.

Muss landed all top 25 guys on the transfer markets

Seems like an upgrade to anyone that covers basketball which is why most publications have us top 10. One even has us around 5 going into next year.

Have fun with the Arkansas rejects.

Arkansas rejects like your native Allen Flanigan? Who is projected to be a lotto pick next year? Are Walker Kessler and Jabari Smith also Arky rejects? What about Zep Jasper and Wendell Green (who our staff liked much better than Lykes and thus stopped recruiting him)
