He does need to accept change.......and get a quality QB.

He had one. Three actually. He just needs to put them in the right offense. Fromm was a very good QB, especially with that run game they had a couple of years ago. The offense, especially this year didn't do him any favors.

Sounds like he's trying to remedy that. That's about all you can ask him to do right now.

Nah 1980 is too fun.

Isn't never for USCe though? Smart's disappointing years would be the best in USCe's history. Weird how Clemson can be successful but USCe can't.

It's even weirder how Clemson can be successful but Georgia can't.

But UGA is. UGA has made the playoffs and had 3 consecutive top 10 finishes. That easily qualifies for successful. So again, why is USCe so bad?

I mean is the narrative for the 2018 title game really that Alabama was better?

one dumbass safety cheated his assignment on 2nd and 26. it should have gone to double OT and the game was a tossup for that and in general.

Judging off of emoticons, that would be you. Still haven't answered my question either.

we aren't successful?

UGA and Clemson won back to back titles in the 80s. They didn't win anything of remote consequence again until their recent titles when they had the 1st and 2nd best QBs (hell, maybe even overall PLAYERS) they've had in school history, facing a 12 games regular season of primarily cupcakes. Give them credit for winning against bama when it counted but let's not act like this is apples to apples. I'll also point out we have like a 35 game lead on them in the all time series, UGA has historically owned the shite out of clemson.

It's weirder how Clemson is 18-42 all time
vs UGA.

Even SC could have a winning record in the
ACC

I mean they came within an overtime stop from winning it all 2 years ago and routinely win 11
Games.
They are not that far away

I can agree with everything in your post but this.

If you're referring to the old days with neyland he (like spurrier) had 1 primary foe in bryant that he won some battles against

Bryant and neyland never coached against each other while Bryant was at Bama. Neyland retired in the early 50's and Bryant got to Alabama in 1958. However, I'm not sure of their record before then against each other.

Close, but you need luck or a really dominant team (see LSU this year) and we have had neither.

Why can't any team other than Bama do this?

If Bama is stopped on 2nd and 3rd down, they would have been forced to kick a field goal. There is a good chance UGA would have won in the first OT given that history.
