You are a good Auburn man, though.

It's a shame that the majority of you can't attain MrAUTigers' level of Creedificence.

Try reading the Creed. It boils down to being a decent human being. I understand why you can't fathom that.

This case looks to be more about the coach getting a kickback after the kid was a player by steering him.

It also looks incidental to the main focus -- - although it will be pretty severe consequences.

The big story may well be the unnamed school -- is that Louisville?

Yes. The story going around is that Adidas money was used to buy a 5* recruit.

ETA Per ESPN, so TIFWIW

That was rude. And indecent.

And goes against everything the Creed stands for.

Exactly, better off paying off Ritter rather than players.

Alabama is the cream of the crop when it comes to integrity and it's sports teams.
Bama has been on probation for cheating more years than not since the last time Auburn was on probation. They have also had 2 coaches outed for paying players just since Saban has been there.

I especially love it when fans from other schools try to distract from their obvious failures or felonies by suggesting that "Alabama may be guilty of it also."
ain't it the truth! It's like Harvard having to pay high school seniors who want to study law, to attend Harvard law school...

Chuck Person didn't facilitate that payment?

I get your point, but a representative of the school - and employee and Auburn man Chuck Persons - made that happen.

players ruled ineligible, Person fired, 1 year post season ban and move on.

Makes sense.

You forgot the most important part, though...Jay Jacobs fired.

No, sorry man.

The FBI paid your coach. Your coach is the one who paid the players with FBI money.

Yep. Auburn can go ahead and self impose for this season (virtually no chance anyhow without the two guys implicated) and they'll pretty much come out unharmed.

would anyone actually be surprised if there was an explosive recruiting scandal at Alabama?

dang right I would be surprised. blown away, in fact...when Mark Emmert, president of the NCAA/gestapo is best friends and golf buddies with the head coach, recruiting scandals don't happen or simply fade away, and UAB football gets shut down. so, yes I would be surprised.

We have self imposed that ban for years.

Agreed! Bama is clean as a whistle! They run a program beyond reproach with such high integrity. $aban would not stand for such shenanigans!!!

Last I checked Bama and Auburn haven't harbored any known murderers.

it always amazes me how every school that is accused of cheating first response is to accused every other school of the same thing. Alabama is scrutinized more than any other school in the NCAA. Auburn, LSU, and Tennesse will pay good money for any info that bama is skirting the rules. All major sports news would double that amount. So if you know Alabama is cheating, im guessing you're a rich man.

You mean like providing players with dodge chargers, free suits from t-town menswear, and deer antler spray by the gallon?

No thanks.
