I think you're right. Cook's shoulder does not look good, but then again, I don't think they leave him in the game out in the receiver position with the backup QB taking the snap if they were too concerned about it. He makes some key throws but he also overthrew on several plays. I agree that three weeks is not a ton of time, but I also don't think they necessarily need a huge game from him to be successful. Their backup is a mobile read option guy that could give Bama's defense some problems. Three weeks to prepare is a ton of time for both of these coaches.

Bama needs to roll MSU...and win it all.

I'm a Tide fan now. Unabashed.

As soon as the NC game is over...I hate you bastards and want to eat your heart. Until then, go make us proud.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the backup QB get some meaningful time to be honest.

MSU's biggest issue is going to be defensive line depth. I just can't see them lasting four quarters of Derrick Henry.

You have pork bacon for brains....I know you hope Bama loses....but everyone in the SEC including the plainsmen, better hope Bama wins for all our sakes.

Dont some of you ridgerunners know that by losing it weakens the SEC and it could be YOUR team in a year or two or three that gets left out of a mjor bowl or gets shutout of the CFP because of the perception that the SEC is weak? Look at the media now...Clemson # 1 and Bama woud clean their clocks. Bama not winning the CFP last year cost ALL of us.

I've been preaching this around here forever. It's ashamed that there are so many stupid folks on this board

they must win in TOP.

i'm rooting for MSU but expect Alabama to win.

i'm worried about that shoulder - he has time to heal though.

shoot, Alabama probably outranks MSU in talent by an average of a star a player. that's hard to overcome.

Just like you said Bama was in real trouble against Fla.

quote:

everyone talked, including myself about how bad Florida's o line is and how good bama's front 7 is but florida has a really good defense and bama's o line is hot garbage. they usualy beat teams by wearing them out (bama) but bama's offense is not good enough to constantly move the ball on florida and def not good enough to pass down field against florida

Michigan State does not have a juggernaut offense.

In fact
since 2012
bama is 2and 4 against teams in uth future or current NFL qbs (2012 Georgia 2013 Aggies) and neither win was by more than 7 points. That line right now is stealing money

The real fact is our D this year is light years better than 12,13 or 14 and it isn't close. You'd be hard pressed to find a spot for Trey Depriest on this Defense. He'd be situational at best and special teams. We can run now. Lots of those Auburn sweeps that went for 30 yds the last few years got 3 this year and we can stop your straight ahead game as well. That's why we have 22 players on the field until we see your personnel come in and 11 run off. We in reality, have 2 defenses. Our D is as good or better than 09 or 11 because it's more diverse. The days of A&M and Auburn eating us alive with the spread is over. Saban saw this and took a couple years to recruit to that need but now we have it.

He's hurt. He won't be 100 percent. He's probably going to need surgery after the season.

With that said, this is easily the best team we have played so far this year. We will need to be on our A game and we will. This is going to be a great game. Probably the most physical college game of the season which is how both Bama and Sparty like it. This is gonna b good ole football. Looking forward to it Sparty. I'm sure you are too.

I think this is the biggest advantage.

Ideal scenario for Alabama would be to beat MSU and then play Clemson.

Would be much more skeptical of their chances v OU.

All that said, go Spartans!

Good to see some Hog fans behind us. Hell, if you wasn't for you guys we wouldn't be here in the first place (beating OM).

To the OP MSU is a pretty good team and if they were playing anyone else they might have a shot. The problem is they play a style that our defense will destroy. Our pass rush will eat Cook for breakfast. I doubt Cook lasts the entire game.

First of all, I am pulling for you'll. With that said, what difference does it make how many plays or how much time it takes to score. It doesn't matter if it is a 14 play drive ( Alabama ), or a 2 play drive ( Ole Miss ).
