Yes, no difference in those statues and the one Alabama put up 3 years into a coach's tenure.

Alabama has a problem as a university culture of having to worship its coach.
Again, y'all don't know Alabama fans very well.
What happened to the posts saying we treated Mike Shula wrong?

Exactly. You are Penn State. Hopefully the story won't turn on you like it did at State College.

Their is no perspective anymore, the inmates are running the asylum, and I guess that's just what folks want..

Just having some fun. But the Penn State thing is a little too far.

You're absolutely right, a cautionary tale about hero-worship gone wrong has no place in the Alabama narrative. What was I thinking?

The scoreboard appears to be actual scale.

That's so Coon can map out the amount of space dedicated to advertisements

both fanbases on this site tend to see & remember posts that the other made concerning the opposing team.
lsu fans key in on alabama posts about saban's time at lsu & alabama fans focus on the lsu posts about saban. human & message board nature.
there are probabably an equal number of posts on this subject from both fanbases.

While true, it is non-responsive to the OP. The question as I took it is why do Bama fans laud a five year period that contained exactly one year without at least 2 losses--and that year still had one loss. It seems like an interesting question.

Do you think Saban left LSU for Alabama? In your own delusional little mind you do don't you?

It is funny to me that you and others couldn't follow the trail of posts that connected the hero worship between the two schools followed by Intrepid Poster Monticello posting the other schools with idols of their coaches, one of which was PSU, and determine that the comparison was about the hero-worship at the compared schools. Then again, this is the SECr so expectations should probably be checked at the door to begin with.
Let's try a syllogism:
Major premise: All universities that engage in unhealthy hero worship build statutes to living coaches.
Minor premise: Bama built a statue to honor a living coach
QED: Bama engages in unhealthy hero worship
Do the same exercise with Penn State. Draw your own conclusion.
