That's why I'm glad LSU fans demand winning and no one is a statue or crowned prince at the university. Hell our fans want to fire everyone always.

Truth.

Alabama fans are little too obsessive with regards to their football coaches. It is cultlike.

Not to mention the debacle against South Carolina the choke against Florida in the SECCG, and demanding a statue that is 300 times scale.

I guess we're the ones with tattoos of our coach taking up our entire back and still holding on to a fashion trend from over 30 years ago.

The last time there was a beatdown in this series was the beat down of 2009. I got to watch LSU players laying on the field in between plays because Bama would not let them quit.

What University erects idols of coaches and posts guards around them on game weeks to keep people from getting too close to their arks of the covenant?

Come on guys.

If Les was to win the SEC 7 of the next 10 years are you trying to convince me some crazy coonass wouldn't get a tatoo of him?

Who quit this past year, and the year before, in this matchup? Yep, your beloved "tahd"

And don't start that "bbbut it was a close game" crap with me. Your redneck fanbase chants "we just beat the hell outta you" after barely escaping a vastly inferior Tennessee team thanks to the fat flubbery arm of a d-lineman. Enough said

That's OK. I've gotten to watch Alabama lose 2 in a row to LSU and 9 of the last 12.

Okay, seriously, the bottom line is this:

Many LSU fans have the attitude, "yeah, we had Saban, now you have him, but our current coach is better".

And many Alabama fans, "haha.. we have your coach and he's the best in the world. Ole Les is a goofball".

It's two kids picking on each other in a playground. Both kids have big marbles but have to prove whose is bigger and better.

My opinion: the records speak for themselves. Looks like both programs have very good coaching staffs.

To get this back on track, Bama has taken the Arkansas approach to the SECr. That is, no matter what the results are, they continue to talk smack, move the target to some irrelevant marker in the past, and beat a drum to death and then when LSU posters respond to it, claim LSU fans are obsessed or scared or whatever the buzz word of the moment is.

Alabama has a problem as a university culture of having to worship its coach. Saban has to be larger than life to justify the worship. He must have made LSU and MSU and Miami and everywhere to justify the gross amount of adulation and blind loyalty they heap on him. The fans of Shaud Williams nation need him to be a folk hero, otherwise he's Mike Dubose. Would you want to worship Mike Dubose?

I don't really care but I would venture to guess a lot of Bama fans feel the need because a lot of LSU fans continue to obsess over Nick Saban and cry over him breaking up with them when he found someone better.

Nah-uh, y'all started it.

We have a statue of every coach who has won a national title. Saban is one of them and yes his statue looks awful and I wish we did not have statues of anyone.
