For the life of me I can't understand why Bama fans are so quick to defend Jimbo over Kirby?

Jimbo by a mile.
Kirby is an idiot and won't win a NC because of it. He's singlehandedly coached his team to losses in big games despite being the better team.
Jimbo's probably a little old school in his offensive system, but is a similar recruiter, better developer and better in-game coach. If Elko hangs around, I think he'll have a chance soon.

They have some stupid notion that Kirby stabbed them in the back on the way out taking pics of their recruiting board.

Which big games? Was UGA better than Bama in 17? 18? 20? or LSU in '19?
Look at the NFL draft and get back to me.
Sure,he's had some head scratching moments as has Jimbo and almost every other P5 HC and Jimbo is older with more experience as a HC.
BTW,why does Jimbo continually poach from Kirby's staff if he's that inferior as a HC?

They think he was showing kids where they truly were on Bama’s list. So Saban would tell a kid he’s at the top of their list when he was truly lower,

Nobody wants to talk about Jimbo going 14-10 vs the ACC his last three seasons despite having the most talent in that conference by far.
That's a major choke job.

Appreciate the flattery, but n the SEC, we tend to measure success based on divisional championships and SEC title game appearances and wins - not on how many times a little 8 can beat a big 6.
And that's why Georgia is a better program, and Kirby is the more promising coach.

And Smart trying to sneak Fields as an upback on a fake-punt, tied, on the short side of the field with 3mins left is literally the dumbest coaching mistake I've ever seen in my life - this comes from a Vol.

11-5 in 2 of those years. He finished 14th and 8th, losing the Peach and winning the Orange.
He had one bad year and you seem to cannot get over it.
He's gone 17-8 since with #16 and #4 finish.

My perception:
Both are good not great (yes I know Jimbo won an NC).
Feels like Kirby is still on the upswing and Jimbo is chasing past glory. Maybe Kirby never gets there, not sure Jimbo will again either. Both schools provide all the resources they could need.

This is actually a pretty good question. I’ll go with Kirby but not happy about it.
The thing with Jimbo is he’s yet to show he can really update his offensive philosophy is a meaningful way, which is going to catch up to him sooner rather than later. Not saying he can’t or he won’t but that’s the main factor in picking Kirby. Otherwise I think it’s a coin toss.
