I will always appreciate Tua, but I think Mac's ability to read progressions and take what the defense gives him gives him the edge over Tua's greater arm talent.

Tua usually hit 1-2 reads and tried to thread needles. Mac will read the entire field in a very short period of time and find the best WR to throw to, plus is more than capable of dropping a dime on defenses as well as short tosses.

While Tua's got the better arm talent, Mac is better at reading defenses (and it's not like his arm is bad - it's really damned good), so I personally think Mac is the better QB overall.

2019 had a better QB under center (sorry Mac fans, but Tua was special) but overall the 2020 team was better

All I've heard here is how 2019 Bama was hot garbage so I gotta go with 2020

A team is more than draft grades, little willie.

Offensively this 2020 team is so much better than 2019 after having a second year under Sark it’s not even funny. Don’t even start about how much better the defense and special teams were.

These guys are bigger, much faster, quicker, stronger, and smarter.

Tua is as never totally healthy since mid season 2018 and the defense is better this year so I think this team was better all around

2019 was the worst Bama team since 2010

#insecureLSU thinks the worst Bama team in a decade is better than 2020

We were also better on the O-line in 2020. The line was dominant. Najee was a better RB this year by a wide margin, we were better at the TE with Billingsley, and Smith became one of the most dominant receivers to ever play college football in 2020.

Something people like you don't acknowledge, Tua was always trying to win the game on every play. As a result, he pushed the ball down field unnecessarily at times. It also resulted in him holding the ball too long, taking sacks, and fumbling at times. Mac did none of those things. It showed, and it made a huge difference in our offensive efficiency and ability to sustain drives. The result was more points scored.

ITT: Bama fans who harped on their defense all year are now going to say they would stonewall LSU's 2019 offense

to fit his agenda the 2019 Alabama team must be the best in years, because it's the only Alabama team that LSU has beaten in 10 games, and that by 5 points. This year's team dominated LSU by a tune of 55-17

No. There's plenty of arguments to be made, because your arguments usually suck and are juvenile at best. I'm just sick of seeing your fricking name and fricking schtick in every fricking thread every fricking day.

2020 Bama defense wasn't great, but it was a lot better than 2019 Bama defense.

2020 Bama offense was also more evolved. The way they created open space and were able to get Smith just about whatever he wanted despite every defense focusing on him was quite remarkable. Props to Sark. They could beat you in so many different ways.

2019 Bama had more talent on the outside overall, and they were better in run blocking. I also think healthy Tua is better than Mac, though that might be an unpopular opinion right now because Mac just put up the most efficient season ever.

I think 2020 Bama wins that game 7/10 times.

Gumps relied to much on Smith. LSU had 3 guys who could do what he does. That and Mac the frumpy statue vs Burrow makes it obvious.

This Bama OL could handle the LSU front much better.

Considering we had arguably the worst defense ever in the history of our program, that isn’t really anything to beat your chest about. Who’s front could y’all not handle this year is the better question?

I think Burrow gets the nod at QB. I’ll give the offensive skill positions a push, Bama the slight edge in Defense and LSU the edge in ST. I’d be a hell of a game.

Oh and Bamas o line in 2020 is 1000000000x better than LSU o line in 2019.
