Clemson. If ND wins they are in and Clemson will win out and still get in. If Clemson wins ND only has a 50/50 shot at best even if they win out.

Is ND in the same division as Clemson in the ACC this year? Could they play again in the title game?

It's very likely. This year, the top 2 ACC teams will play for the ACC title.

There are no divisions. Whoever the top 2 trams play in the conference championship.

My assumption here is that Clemson would still play for the ACC championship and beat the brakes off whoever they face. I don’t see any way that the committee leaves out an ACC Champion Clemson whose only loss was with a backup QB and to another Top 5 team.
This is correct.

Depends - is it possible they play each other in the ACC title game? If so, I just want the same team to win both games so that only 1 of them makes the playoffs. If not, I guess I'd rather Clemson win - I hate ND more than I am tired of Clemson. Sorry cock fans.

I don't care. Georgia isn't making the playoffs this season so it doesn't matter to me. I'll just hope for a close, competitive game for entertainment purposes.

I’m rooting for a great game I can actually get into with Alabama on a bye. Part of me thinks Notre Dame will pull it off.

The variable is this:

If ND wins this game and loses in the ACC championship I bet they put them both in. Something like

SEC Champ
OSU
Clemson
ND

Actually you can book it. The only way ND doesn’t get in is 2 Clemson W’s.

They love ND for some reason but the SEC champ will absolutely kill ND same for Okie State.

I'm not seeing the effect either way of it having on UGA's ability to back door their way into the CFP

UGA can’t backdoor into the playoff at this point. Only way UGA gets in is if they beat bama in the SECC.

If ND loses to Clemson but wins the rest of their games, then they should end up playing Clemson again in the ACC championship game, which will give them two losses.

If, on the other hand, ND wins this game, and doesn't slip up somewhere else (which isn't guaranteed, but could happen), then, in that scenario, I think ND gets in even if Clemson were to beat them 100-0 in the ACC championship game. So, if you want the best odds of the SEC getting two teams in, rather than ND slipping in with an at large, pull for Clemson.
