Auburn hasn't won double digit games in back to back years since...a long time ago. It will be interesting to see if we can next year. We will have the talent and coaching, and the SEC West seems like it will be easier next year, but we will have to wait and see.
That could make Auburn fans delusional, IMO.

Miss state fans for the most part, from state fans IRL, do not desire to be one of the big fish, they only desire to be just above where ever ole miss is at the time. That's state's goal, keeping up with the jones'
Do you realize how delusional you have just made your fan base look?

Dude remember when y'all were ranked #5...
Look at our schedule and returning team. We have a favorable run next year and that's not a delusion. Like I said, if we were spouting out "sec west favorites" or crap like that then yea I would see your point. I think some people just don't like the idea of State having a good season
also that 9th or 10th win would be a bowl so I don't see what's a rustling some jimmies

UGA is always the right answer...

Good lord, mboromaroon. Once again, that happened in 1893. You said that Ole Miss currently calls its colors Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue. I posted a link to the 2013 media guide that says that Ole Miss calls its colors cardinal red and navy blue. You are clearly wrong. It's ok. It happens. Plus, it was a stupid argument anyway. I suggest you achieve zen oneness or whatever with the facts, get over it, and move on with your life. But if you want to keep trying to make your incorrect and stupid point, then go for it. I'll gladly give you the last word so you can prove to everyone just how big of a dumbass you are by adamantly sticking to your dumbass point.

Of course it matters. Of course it's a rivalry game. Some people in either fanbase will say that the game doesn't matter after their respective team loses. Those people don't speak for an entire fanbase.
I can agree with this.

“I bet if you talked to a lot of our fans and said, ‘Hey you’re going to go 11-1 and lose the Egg Bowl,’ they’d be pretty disappointed,” Mullen said. “If you’re going to go 1-11 win the Egg Bowl, they’d say, ‘I’d take that.’”

That's what your school calls your colors TODAY, not just 120 years ago. The delusion simply began in the 1890s. In reality your colors mirror those on the Confederate battle flag, which is perfectly fine, given the Rebels nickname, Colonel Reb, etc. That makes sense. But, to EVER refer to those shades as Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue, which both most cerainly are not, is pretentious and delusional.
You're completely fricking stupid, you know that right?
The team colors were decided in the 1890's. The team captain at the time said he wanted to have the "crimson of Harvard and the blue of Yale," so while they might not be the exact same shades that each school uses, that's where the colors came from.
The teams weren't called the "Rebels" until about forty years later, so the Confederacy doesn't have a goddamn thing to do with the color scheme. Whatever connection you see there is completely the result of your own prejudices and biases.

It's funny, because the egg bowl didn't mean anything last year according to state fans here and on ED. It was all about who had the best record. Funny how things change isn't it?
Remember when Coonass was mocking Ole Miss fans for what he saw as a celebration of the "best 6-6 team EVARRRR"? I wonder where his mind's at about that now (aside from being a blatant racist homophobe who ran out on his children and brags about a messy divorce on the internet because he's a fricking desperate sociopath).

Oh and the whole premise of this thread is fricking stupid.
