More young people come from the Nashville/Murfreesboro/Mid TN area more than any other area of the state to attend UT. Every single one of which I've met loves East TN and Knoxville and is now back to being apart of "The young and transient Nashville crowd" as alum and young adults (25+). I'm from Southern California and I love Knoxville. Your hate is strong though. You Vandy fans have a special type of jealous after being shite on for the last 100 years by the mouth breathing knuckle draggers to the East.

I'm tired of all the hate between students at our two schools. We should unite behind the fact that we all applied to Vanderbilt.

Being from Southern California makes you more of an expert on Tennessee demographics and trends than me, a Tennessee native. You been watching the Hillary spin machine too much.

The majority of UT students are factually from East Tennessee. Yes, there are a lot of students from the other parts of the State. But the majority still comes from East Tennessee. And as a native of Nashville, I know very well where the transient students are going and it ain't Knoxville. Belmont, Lipscomb, Trevecca, Ole Miss, Alabama, Auburn are the choices of our new and exploding population. Vandy would be on their list too but Vandy's push to diversify their enrollment prohibits that from occurring.

The only reason UT holds the upper hand in the football series is a matter of choice. If Vandy ever decided to relax academic standards to that of UT, Vandy would rule this State in Football.

He wasn't here long enough to accomplish anything like that. Three seasons isn't enough to totally eradicate literacy within a program.

Last year was an aberration for UofL. They did have a great season all around, I'll admit it. That being said, any true Kentuckian knows that there's only one game each year that decides who gets to run their mouth in the Bluegrass state for another 365 days, and that's basketball. Now, always, and forever.

I've spent half of my life in CA and the other half in TN. I'd like to think that gives me a pretty holistic perspective on things compared to someone whose lived in 1 spot their entire life. Even more so dealing with young people and culture. How old are you by the way?

More bull shite. It's cute how you speak in absolutes for the people that you surround yourself with and then try and bring it here as the opinion of all of young Nashville. I've met so many UT kids and close friends/alums from Green Hills, Berry Hill, Sylvan park, Oak Hills, Nolensville, Murfreesboro, Brentwood, La Vergne, Smyrna, Hendersonville, Franklin, etc, etc, etc, it's not even worth naming. Many of which came from parents that aren't from TN. Again, you're full of shite.

Even then, the stable and non-transient population of middle Tennessee is huge. Many of those families in the areas named above having old and deep ties to yours truly. Nashville is one of our greatest assets in the state and has always had a lot of love for UT. Do a better job of coping with it.

You have the best city in the state and definitely the best city with in the SEC cities/towns as a selling point and you still can't beat out the Appalachia State's, UAB's, and USF's of the world. Go take a lap.

You jumped the shark with this statement, friend.

I'm glad you're pumped about all those new yankee kids in your fair city, but UTK is still the premier school in state school and most likely always will be. I just hope someday that I can make it out of this hillbilly shite fest and end up somewhere cool. :(

She needs to take more advantage of basketball season. UT is something like 7-1 over LSU in the last 8 meetings. That might be a little off, but it's close.

Haven't been able to say much in football since 07.. When we lost to LSU in the SECCG.

I believe a majority of the Georgia state senators, reps, and governors have come from UGA. So, in addition to the fact that tech was cofounded by a UGA grad, we quite literally run this state
