Agreed.

WVU is more appalachian

This x10.

Ohio has a large population that is more appalachian than any SEC state. WVU simply ain't souther.

Ugh I hate to say it but probably Ohio State- great fans who care just a little too much, big rivalries, dominant recruiting even in off years and unlike the rest of the B1G they put athletics way above academics.

Good List, Id switch a few and take out a few. Top of the list Id say would be Clemson(modeled after MSU and AU architecture/sports), followed by FSU, VA Tech, and GA Tech to a lesser degree and pretty much cut it off from there

Not obsessed with football, really. Obsessed with the school? Absolutely. It's akin to Texas A&M's cult thing.

Dammit. Ten years ago I would have loved a Penn St. comparison. That program will never be the same.

Even without the Sandusky scandal, Penn State's another school who got marginalized by joining the B1G.

Georgia Tech isn't culturally SEC material. Unless we are being compared to Vanderbilt. We don't sell out games, we don't travel well, and are usually the fourth sports story covered on Atlanta news outlets. Love my school, but there are definitely a lot of schools ahead of us on this list. However, I'm perfectly fine with being in the ACC.

Clemson, WVU, GATech.

I would be interested in GA southern. they would suck at first, but kids not being able to get into uga would maybe start considering southern instead of heading to school out of state. The brand would eventually grow.

Gotta be FSU... incoming QB does Ray Rice impersonation before first start. Would do well in Fulmer Cup.
