Weren't they on probation with roster limitations while he was there?
Yeah. Carroll bailed like 2 weeks before the NCAA hit Southern Cal with sanctions.

A ham sandwich could win 8 games at LSU. They're not that bad off really

I was going to say. I know this is a troll thread but LSU has lost two games. They will probably lose more but they aren’t remotely in the same boat as Auburn and Florida.

LSU will make a move next year if it doesn’t work and will probably be fine.

Florida

Y’all’s problems are deeper than Auburn and LSU. Those two have consistent supportive fanbases with boosters who somewhat all move in the same direction. They also have more talent.

Florida for some reason is apathetic towards football and has been for over a decade now

Ole Miss fans think that because Hugh Hathcock realized it would be retarded for him to give Jaden Rashada $3M a year that Florida's NIL is weak.

Florida has a far more robust NIL program than Ole Miss and one of the best in the country. We have landed multiple 5* in the last two classes and have had no problem landing talent.

Florida has also raised Napier's $30M buyout last season, and $21M buyout this season.

Florida is also set to make Lane Kiffin the highest paid coach in college football

Florida is in the best shape. They seem ready to make a change and they are loaded with talent.

LSU isn’t that far off with respect to talent but no one can convince me that Kelly is their guy and his buyout is steep but none of us ever pay that.

Auburn. I think Auburn is the worst off. Lower buyout but roster isn’t as talented and they will almost certainly lose some jewels with a coaching change. Every team does, but they might be the most heavily impacted.

In order of action about to be taken I think it’s
Florida
Auburn
LSU

My perception of LSU not acting on a change would be what really mires them down.

Auburn. Stuck smack dab between Alabama and UGA. Football going nowhere fast. And I mean nowhere

I respectfully disagree. Their wealth of talent is why they are so fed up with Sunbelt.

Auburn has plenty of talent. According to the 247 talent composite LSU is at 4 UF is at 6 AU is at 7 (rankings in SEC).

The issue is coaching. Just look at the stark difference between the level of play between offense and defense at Auburn. Defense has a competent staff of coaches. Offense is full of pathetic losers that couldn't put a plan together if Vince Lombardi held their hands.

Auburn has money to retain players and keep recruiting going with the right hire. They just have to fire the clown first.

LSU is stuck with BK for a while. No way they pay that kind of buyout if they only lose say 2 more games.

Well… for starters UF isn’t an elite brand. The Spurrier & Myer phases were their zenith. Miami has been a bigger brand over the decades. So let’s just move on from that.

Freeze’s buyout is $15.4M. That’s favorable given the other buyouts at places like FSU & PSU. There’s a significantly lower financial burden this time around for Auburn.

In my mind that makes it easier to secure a younger coach and bring in a top tier staff.

…just musings on a Sunday morning.

How old are you to not know about USC probation starting when Lane took over.

I want to say it's LSU because I want a new coaching staff and QB, but then I look at 5-2 compared to UF and Auburn, and on top of them where FSU and Penn State are now... We still have a way to go to hit bottom unfortunately. Our record obscures how bad we really are.

You obviously dont follow football much. Auburn has better WRs and a better defense than Florida. Our offensive line was supposed to be the a strength of the team. Our poor Coaching and development had made it impossible for Auburn to execute any offensive play in the book consistently.
