Since Texas A&M and Missouri have joined the SEC, Missouri has won the East twice. The West Division winner has only come from the state of Alabama.

Who will be the first non-state of Alabama West Division winner since Texas A&M and Missouri have joined?

My pick is Arkansas.

LSU - terrible QB play.

Arkansas - not enough elite athletics on offense.

A&M - needs to show they can field a defense and run the football better.

Ole Miss - need to prove what they can do at QB and not collapse. Also not lead Mephis 7-3 to start the 4th quarter.

- Miss. State - last year was their shot.

Thus, I would go with Arkansas. Smash mouth football and play good defense.

Good luck.

Having said that, Alabama win probably win the SEC West unless Arkansas can pull off a big upset.

The west will be won in the State of Alabama for a few more years. LSU has the best shot

LSU or Ark. You have to have a running game to win in this league, period

Almost scientific odds:

Arkansas 31%
Texas A&M 27%
LSU 22%
Ole Miss 14%
Miss. State 5%
Never happen 1%

bama only loses to themselves so I guess the loser of that matchup would be most likely

Both history and current talent say LSU.

Much like last year, the West will be wide open this year and LSU will be one of the teams in the mix.
