Alabama didn't win a national championship in any of the six sports, but still finished second overall with consistent postseason success across multiple sports. The Crimson Tide reached the national quarterfinals in football and baseball and added a semifinal run in softball, finishing second in postseason points and securing the No. 2 spot in the model.

We did have a very well-rounded year in athletics, but I would have preferred taking home a trophy in one of them honestly. Softball was our best bet at that and we definitely got close; we did much better than expected in baseball.

Rent free, Hook 'Em.

Notice you left off results for the three other sports that drive the most national attention, TV ratings and fan engagement. We also know, thanks to TheGhostofBud, that WCWS out draws CWS currently and has for a while.

So how did Texas do in those other three compared to #2 Alabama and your #8 Georgia Bulldogs? Haters gonna hate, deal with it.

Softball
#1 Texas.....National Champions WCWS
#2 Bama.....Semi-finals WCWS
#8 Georgia. 0-2 @ Super Regional

W. Basketball
#1Texas......Final Four
#2 Bama.....Rd of 32
#8 Georgia..0-1 in NCAA

W. Volleyball
#1 Texas....Final Eight
#2 Bama....DNQ
#8 Georgia..DNQ

Gap between Texas and #2 is larger than #2 and #18

Wrong again. Most sec teams DO play volleyball.

Exactly. He's more arguing since he hates Texas. Which is fine but Texas having one more loss than Georgia and losing in the first round of the playoffs is not significantly different. Isn't like you won the natty and Texas finished 8-4

Then find a list of who won college football last year. Last I checked athletic departments have multiple sports that we all out resources to. This list takes a look at the entire athletic year, not just cfp, but you already know that

Most SEC teams don't play volleyball, maybe Tejas.

Others have pointed out that you don't know what you're talking about, so why should I be different?
You don't know what you're talking about.

All SEC schools field a team in all 6 sports noted with one exception. Vanderbilt doesn't field a softball team.

You have not scored a touchdown in 3 of the last 4 years against Texas lol. Yet you call us some bs price university. If that's the case what does that make OU give the above lol

This is what I find hilarious. We beat those teams and they act like they dont field teams, which is it are you trying to win or not?

Football finished 12, baseball top 6 and basketball sweet 16. No natty in any. I wonder what cbs scores would be eliminating the girls

Stricklin's days are numbered and directly tied to Jon Sumrall's success right ? Gators were always at the top or near the top of this list in the 90s, 2000s and 2010s it seems.

Yeah, and the only SEC schools to win NCAA National Championships out of those 6 sports is Texas Softball and OU Baseball. The SEC OGs act like they have Championships falling off their trees.

They take the money made from football and a few places basketball to pay for sports no one cares about because they have to.

Let them stand on their own.

The OSU placing 34th nationally and 10th in the B1G you guys should probably just play football only and shut down trying in the other 5 national attention sports.

If OSU played in the SEC you'd place 12th in the conference, just below Mississippi State.

Does Ohio state field teams? Then they care. It's such a cop out to act like texasdoninaging those sports isn't an accomplishment like every university doesn't field these teams, try to win, etc. Football drives revenue we all know that but if you are considering had the best athletic year you have to consider all teams. If it's just down to whom made the most money pretty sure Texas is one of if not the top team there too
